How Crowded is July 4th week???

We are AP holders & usually go to WDW about 4 times a yr. I believe that WDW is ALWAYS crowded now. And we have been during some very crowded times including spring breaks, summer, Memorial Day weekend, & NYE weekend. But, I have never been during July 4th week. Can anyone tell me how the crowds this week compare to other crowded times? I have been when it is hot so understand how that can be. But, my concern is that it will NYE crowded AND hot!

Very busy. We go often at 4th of July week, including '15, '16 and again this year. Crowds don't bother us all that much, but make no mistake, it's busy. Just use FP+ to your advantage, be patient and you'll be fine. We love that week, it's a lot of fun. The only truly insane day/time, IMO, is MK at night on July 3rd and 4th. That's nuts. But we've done it and lived to tell.

We love 4th of July week, we also went in 2015 and 2016 (We would go again this year but due to my job I can't be off the first week of July, so we'll be returning July 2nd ).

It is crowded, but not as bad as Thanksgiving week (most crowded time we've been). We've never braved MK on the 4th. We went to HS and AK, and watched fireworks at Epcot. We stayed at BC so it was very convenient.

Also, the heat doesn't bother us much. We're from Atlanta so the humidity here makes it feel worse. We typically leave the parks in the afternoon and head to the pool.

It's one of the most crowed times of the year. Went last year and we are crazy enough to do it again this year. MK is the worst on the 3rd and 4th and Epcot also pretty busy on the 4th. I recommend rope drop and schedule fastpasses starting around 10:30. Do fastpasses and have a nice lunch in the park or at the resort. During the scorching heat of the afternoon relax in your room, at the pool or a community center if your hotel has one (great for younger kids) I also found going back to the parks late at night was not too bad. It will still be like 80 degrees at midnight but some of the lines will have died down. We did a late dinner at Cali grill on 7/3/16 to enjoy the special fireworks. Then walked over to MK (monorail wait was insane). MK had EMH from 10pm-12am and crowd was not bad during this time.
