How Crowded is Jersey Week?

My family and I are planning to go to WDW November 4-12, 2005. I have read that this is Jersey Week. Just how crowded is Jersey Week? Is it managable, or would you recommend changing weeks? We could possibly go the week before or the week after; it's just that my son wouldn't have to miss as much school if we went as originally planned.

Thank you for any suggestions you can give me. :)

It is manageable, especially compared to summer crowds.

It depends on what you are used to and what your expectations are.

We have been 3 times during Jersey week and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

We were there for Jersey Week, which overlapped with Soap Weekend which coincided with the last week of Food & Wine, The crowds were what I'd call moderate. EE was still in place so we hit the EE park every morning, got in the major attractions by noon or so then hopped to Epcot. The first day there, Sat, Soap Weekend and Jersey Week, we hit MGM and there was the smallest crowd I've ever seen for a rope drop, no more than 10 deep. We didn't use FastPass all morning.

We went in 2003 during Jersey Week and had no problems. It was the perfect time to go for us since we are from NJ :teeth: . I don't think we waited longer than 15 min for anything. It was kind of funny for us(although maybe annoying for people not from NJ) when we went to HDDR, they stopped asking where you from and began asking what part of NJ are you from. :rotfl2:

For the last 8 years, we have gone to Disney during November, and part of our trip always coincides with "Jersey Week". I have to stay that during the part of our stay that is Jersey week, the crowds are definately heavier. However, it is still November, so its not that bad. In the middle of the day, we have seen waits of an hour for Splash Mountain maybe 45 minutes for Rock n Roller coaster. Once Jersey week is over, we have practically walked on these rides. Many times, while trying for a better hotel rate I have called CRO closer to our November dates and have been told all hotels were sold out. So, between Jersey Week, Festival of the Masters, Food & Wine fest, and taking into effect that many people choose November because some schools are closed for Veterans Day and Election Day (like ours in CT), November is NOT empty, but I dont think any time is anymore at Disney!

If you do WDW off season as we do, I would say to avoid Jersey Week. We will never go to WDW during that time period again. Ever. Maybe if you are a high season traveler it wouldn't bother you but with all the other quiet weeks in the fall to go there, why deal with the crowds.

NJ Week is definately more crowded than a regular off-season week at WDW, but it is definately not as crowded as WDW during the summer of other high attendence weeks.
