How crowded is Jersey week/ Veterans Day?

Hello,
I'm trying to plan a trip for fall and wanted to know how crowded the second week of November is. I assume it's Jersey week because Veterans Day is Monday of that week. We have gone the week before Thanksgiving and thought crowds were low and also Labor Day week which started off quite busy and then emptied out by Tuesday. I'm having trouble deciding on a good week to book. I wanted December 1-9 but thats Pop Warner so forget that. My next choice is the second week of October the week of Columbus day. I have heard it's busy because of food and wine and fall breaks . I definately want to go when it's a bit quieter so we don't have to rush and can enjoy the resort and some extras like dinner shows and La Nouba. Thanks .

in 2005 we went on a disney cruise that departed on the 12th of november-so we were at wdw the week before. as i recall up until the 10th it was'nt horrendous but on the 10th we saw a huge surge of people come in. i think one thing that was a contributing factor was that 'soap weekend' was also being held vet's day weekend-so that might have been why it was such a big change from one day to another.

I went during Food and Wine (it was also Jersey Week). The parks were pretty busy....We didn't have to wait longer than 45 min in lines for most things. Night time with the parades was horrific! And Epcot was busy busy....so busy that we didn't get to go into every land because I didn't want to tackle the crowds. (we had a toddler in a stroller and mil in a Wheelchair).
It's definetly not as bad as the summer months though!

The week after Thanksgiving is my personal favorite!! Low, low crowds.

We were there this year for the whole "Jersey Week". It was okay until about Thursday and through the weekend and then it just got crowded. You have several things going on during that time. Vetrans day (locals off), Super Soap weekend, end of the food and Wine, Festival of the masters. MGM was not movable, EPCOT waits were about 120 minutes for Test Track and longer for soaring. MK was crowded with, peter pan waits of 45 minutes and small world waits of 30 minutes (normally it was 5 minutes at the beginning of the week).

Thanks for the replies. Sounds a bit too busy for me. I assume Jersey week will be November 10-17. I could try November 1-8 instead. The week starting the 18th goes right into Thanksgiving week. It's not a good november to plan this year for some reason. I might stick with Columbus day week instead.

Jersey week is usually the 2nd week in November. Here in Jersey many of the schools are closed that Tuesday thru Friday because of National Teacher conventions. This makes it easy for us to head down to Disney. It use to be a very low attendance time to go, but now I think the secret is out. It is still no where near as crowded as in the summer or during spring break.

These weeks are also when elections are held, so many schools are off Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. (Some don't get election day off, others close Wednesday too. It varies by school district.)

I, unfortunately, work for one of the districts that only gets the two convention days off and that is how it is for most, if not all of the districts in my area. My SIL is about an hour north of me and they only have school on Monday that week. I always wondered why they bothered with Monday.

I think that it shouldn't be a problem going during Pop Warner. We have gone plenty of times during this and it really doesn't affect the parks. Mostly only the Value and some moderates.
