I have never been there during Christmas and my family is thinking about going. Please post how crowded or not crowded it is!

Yay WDW LOL :cheer2:

I have not been there at this time myself, but I have it heard it gets really busy the week before and after. Everyone is on break from school, so alot of families go then.

I will never go again during Christmas!! Talk about crowds :crowded: We went last year and it was packed. At MK, they had the Tram, ferry AND buses taking people in the park. And forget about trying to get out. MK lost power for like 3 hours due to a quick rain storm. We have to take a small boat to one of the hotel to THEN grab the tram to the parking lot. no trams were leaving the park for people to return to their cars till later in the day. All trams and ferries were for incoming guest.
We just went back to our hotel.

I have gone twice in May, once in early July and once in early August. May was so nice. It was before schools were out and hardly no lines and nice weather. July and August were jammed packed. 3 hours in line was typical for popular rides. If Christmas time is like that, I would wait for another time. I swear never to go when school is out again!!

Christmas week is insanely crowded. I went last year for a few days, knowing it would be a mob scene, but enjoyed people watching anyway. The baby was small enough to sling all day, which was good because trying to deal with a stroller was difficult. In normal circumstances I never would have considered going, but it was my mom's only request for Christmas, she'd had a very bad year with a sick DH, so I agreed and we went. Booked last minute online and were lucky enough to get one of our favorite resorts, had no ADR's but still managed to eat where ever we wanted...all we had to do was be there before the official dinner opening time, and we were first on the list for walk-ins. If you want this to be a commando-see-it-all trip, plan another time of year. But if you want to go for the fun of it, to see the decorations and people watch, then you'll have a great time!

We were there last year for Christmas and it was busy. Sure it was crowded, but we got to go on all the rides we wanted and never really wanted in huge lines. We took advantage of extended hours, fast passes and always stood in the singles line. We had our son with us too and were still able to maneuver around with a stroller. Although it wasn't as bad as we had anticipated and we had a great Christmas, we wouldn't do it again.
CM told us that the week after Christmas was even worse! :crowded:

If you mean the week before Christmas, it's not that crowded. If you mean the week of Christmas-New Year's, I've heard it is extremely crowded. We were there last year from the 17th-26th. It wasn't really crowded until Christmas eve. We did not go to the parks on Christmas day, however, we did take the bus to MK so we could hop the monorail to our ADR at the GF. My family was sooooooo happy that we were not going to MK that day. I've never seen so many people trying to get in.
