How crowded is FW the week after T'giving?

DH and I won't know his vacation schedule for '07 until this Dec. I'd like to book a full hook up for the week after Thanksgiving. That'll be 11 months but I know that the snowbirds come down for extended stays. Do you foresee any problem?

We've been there before during that week and loved it. Not too crowded at all. Of course, things do change from year to year, but I think it's a great time to go.

This is a great time to go. The weather's usually great and the parks not too crowded!!

24 days, 5 hours, and 10 minutes til we're back at the Fort and Star Wars Weekend!!

I agree, it's a great time to go. In years past it was actually "Value Season", which indicated that occupancy was low and the weather is usually great. It is now part of "Pre-Holiday Season, so it will cost you a few more dollars, but it is still a great time.

Last week I booked an RV site at FW for the week after Thanksgiving of this year. I didn't have any problems getting a reservation 7 months out, so I imagine you should be fine 11 months out.

Thanks everyone. I'm so excited to be going to FW. We went to HDD there and rode the wagon afterwards but it will be our first stay.

I cannot believe someone would look down their noses at someone simply because they camp!! Usually, it's people who have never given it a try.

This is one of our favorite times to go. A few years ago, when all the kids were all in private school, we arrived on T-giving, stayed for 11 days, avoided the parkes till Monday, and LOVED it!
Small crowds, great weather, and the kids did thier school work every day and never missed a beat, and neither did we.
I even had lobsters flown in ( a surprise for DW) and steamed them at the RV on Saturday night, fried a turkey on Sunday as family came in and we had a T-giving dinner at the RV, and then used the leftover turkey bones (for the stock) and turkey meat for a gumbo later in the week.
Not a bad trip at all!
