How crowded have the evening EMH's been?

I've read a couple of posts about the morning EMh's not being overly busy, and it got me to wondering how the evening version has been in terms of attendance. Anyone who has been recently, how was it?

We did Epcot's evening EMH last week on March 17th. A CM said they expected about 10,000 people. It didn't seem like that many were there. But Test Track still had a long wait. I think they should have more countries open, esp. England. Only Norway and Mexico were open, and no one was on those rides. No wait for Spaceship earth either. Didn't do Mission Space - once was more than enough for me. Hope this helps.

During our recent February trip we only used the evening hours for Studios. That night we experienced the biggest crowds and longest wait (GMR-40 minutes) of our week's stay. We have a 2 yo DS and we hustled to Playhouse Disney to find out we just missed a show, their next show was at 8:30, Little Mermaids next show was at 8:35. What gives, we thought they shoul've been staggered for they attract the same type of crowd. So for 3 hours of "extra magic" we just missed a 7:30 Playhouse Disney, walked over to GMR as warned by the CM that we would miss the next Playhouse show if we entered then, we walked down to RnR and ToT to get FP for DW just in case, browsed in shops on our way back to Playhouse Disney, saw that, then had our long wait for the GMR and after that ride was over it was 9:45. 3 hours "extra magic" = 2 attractions.

I went to MK's on 3/2 and it was very crowded. It was 7 to 10, so people did not have to stay up late, which I think contributed to the crowds. If it's 10 to 1, most people with young kids aren't going to stay out that late.

I guess I've been a way for a while.

The last time we went to WDW ( 2003)- there were e-nights for resort guests- but you had to pay extra for them. We never went.

Now with the EMH- this is a free bonus for resort guests? Sounds like a good deal...

We did evening EMH at MGM on Friday, March 18th. Our experience was just the opposite of skoba nelson. We didn't do the MAJOR rides--ToT and RnR since our kids were too small. We had no waits and small crowds at Disney Playhouse, Great Movie Ride and Muppets. We may have done one other attraction, but I can't recall what it was. We arrived about 1/2 hour before the EMH started and also had no wait for the Sounds Dangerous show. The EMH started at 7:30 and I think we left around 9:00.

Was there last week. Did all of the evening EMH's except for MGM. The only one that was worth it was AK, which was open from 8-11pm. We got on everything with no wait. Epcot was 9-12 and MK was 12-3am, and both were PACKED.

I highly recommend the mornings. People are much less apt to wake up then they are to stay up.

The evening EMH's are not worth it. What is happening is that people show up to the EMH park in the early to late afternoon and just stay in the park. You can feel the crowds building throughout the day. Remember that there are people who are not choosing the hopping option too and so they can only go to one park, and most will choose the park that offers EMH hours thinking that's the best bang for their buck. You're much better off purchasing the "hopping option" and then doing the early EHM staying until 11:00am-12:00 and then heading to the park that had the later EMH the night before. You'll accomplish much more this way!! And you'll avoid the Extra Crowded Park of the Day.

we just returned today we caught late night at animal kingdom one night and got everything done we wanted to in less then two hrs. we noticed the park started thinning out about an hour before the extra hrs so we got alot done, a couple attractions aren't open after dark but those were ones we probably wouldn't have taken anyway. the crowds I thought weren't as bad as I expected. we also got early morning hrs at mgm and had done most the great stuff by opening and got fast pass for the rest the stuff.

Hmmm, I may have to rethink my strategy. We do have hoppers at least.

We aren't morning people, so we'll never make it to the morning hours.

What time do they hand out bracelets? Does anyone know if it would be possible to go to MK, get a bracelet, go to Epcot for dinner and then come back once the park is closed to the public? Would they let us in with bracelets or send us away?

Yup, MK was packed from 12-1am. We didn't stay til 3am, so maybe it thinned out.

They start handing out the braclets about 2 hours before I think. No earlier than that. I think it would be difficult to get the bracelet and head to Epcot and then back. The timing would have to be just right.

It was my understanding that, as long as you have valid park admission media and a valid WDW Resort key, they will let you in the EMH evening park even though it is closed to the public.

It didn't. Not much, that is.

At 2:30am, the queue for Space Mountain extended out into the park. It was truly unbelievable how many people were at MK that night. I thought there would be just a few of us nut-jobs willing to stay at MK until 3am. Boy, was I wrong.

We were there over spring break a couple of weeks ago and did MK until 1:00 a.m. It was not crowded at all. We loved it.

We did the MK and MGM EMH's. We LOVED the MK EMH. We were there last week and did the one on the 23rd of March. We stayed until about 2:45am. We got so much accomplished! We got on Space Mountain (a bit of a wait, but only about 20 min or so), Carpets of Aladdin, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan's Flight, Winnie the Pooh, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Haunted Mansion, Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, Splash Mountain TWICE, and Stitch's Great Escape. We got there at about 8:30, watched Wishes, got ice cream, walked around. We fast passed Splash Mountain & Big Thunder Mountain, and the waits for that weren't even long. Everything else we waited in short lines for or just walked right on. At around 2:30am they didn't even seem to care about wristbands. The park was extremely dead. The CM on Splash Mountain told us we didn't have to show him our wristbands because we were crazy for being there at 2:30 in the morning. It was fun, though, all the CM's were walking by telling us good morning. At MGM, we stayed until only about 11. It was kind of crowded, but they opened up the fast pass booths after the official park closing, which MK didn't do. We got there around 8:30 (after walking from the Boardwalk and getting lost) and waited in about a 20 min line for R&RC, then pretty much walked right on to ToT. Then we got a fast pass for ToT and went back on R&RC, waiting for about 20 min again. Then we went back on ToT, got another fast pass for it, but didn't end up riding the third time. It was fun to walk right on rides that normally have 90 min waits!
