We have reservations, and I just want to know what to expect. We usually go during off peak times, so I am a little concerned.

We'll be there that week. We've been down there during that week before but a while ago. It wasn't that bad before at all.

That being said, DVC is all booked, business at WDW seems to have picked up a lot this past year - by all accounts, it will be crowded.

Get there early, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I will expect crowds so I won't be disappointed but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised and it won't be too bad.

I'll take crowds and nice weather over the cold up here.

Have a good trip.

Never again for us! Epcot using EE/EMH was busy but do-able. We got over confident & ventured to MK. Got there late afternoon, near grid-lock. Waited close to an hour @ POCpirate: .

Good luck.

President's Week is about the 4th busiest week of the year. I used to go down there every year at that time. You have crowds from the Daytona 500 to deal with also that week. Real busy.

I've been going President's week since 2000 and it seems to get more crowded each year. But there's nothing better than watching the NY weather forecast from WDW!! Last year was very warm and we were in the pool almost every day.

Yup, Pres. Wk is busy. Here is the crowd predictions from Touring Plans.

They seem to rate it right after Christmas and the Easter weeks (2) and as crowded as July.
We went during Pres. Week last year and with using common sense to avoid the crowds it wasn't bad and would do it again. First we went on Wed before the week which lowered airfare and allowed us to do MK the most crowded park on Thurs and Fri when it was enjoyable. I did pull my DD8 out of school but only for 2.5 days and one of the days was before vacation and very low instruction time. We have small children so going to the parks at opening and back in the afternoon worked well. We also avoided crowded parks or rides on Sun and Mon. opting for Character Meals/ fantasmic dinner package/ etc.

My son and I went last year during the President's Day week...and it wasn't as crowded as I expected. The lines really weren't that bad, and for the rides that I really wanted to go on...I grabbed a fastpass. The fact that the weather was warm and that I was not home and at work helped too!!

We then went again in October...and that was not as pleasant. It was too hot and humid and the parks seemed more crowded. But, my son found Disney Quest and that was the end of the hot days in the park! We had a lot of fun there and just hanging out at the hotel and the water parks!

If you are prepared for the crowds...it will be easier.

We have been to WDW during President's Week several times. Not too bad, so long as you plan accordingly. Use FP, EMH mornings, and get to non-EMH parks early. Take a break in the afternoon and return to the parks in the evening. HAVE FUN you're on vacation. :cool1:

I don't feel that President's Week is too bad actually. We do avoid the parks on Monday since the local kids are all off of school too.

With that being said, the weeks we visit are President's, Easter, and then 2 weeks in the summer. Since those are all pretty busy times, I guess I'm just used to it.

One of the previous posters said something about going to MK in the afternoon. :guilty: Never do that! If you want to go to MK pretty much anytime of the year, go first thing when the park opens! The other parks seem to have some type of afternoon lull, but not MK!

It should be busy, but I wouldn't be overly concerned. Disney usually extends hours when it is really expected to be busy. The schedule has MK closing at midnight over that weekend, so you'll probably have crowds.
