how crowded first week December?

We are hoping to go back to the world the first or second week of December. We have been in March and in November both with farely low crowds and that is how I like it. I want us to see all the Christmas things this year though and so I was wondering if anyone has been around that time and could tell me what the crowds were like.

I used to go every year at this time( I went in Sept 2008 instead) and I must say it has definitely gotten much busier.It used to be completely empty, now it is moderate to low crowds.Much much better than the summer or spring break, but not dead by any means.

Historically it has always been very low crowds. We went again this year the first full week in December and the crowds were still very light except for the weekends in EPCOT in the evenings because of CP. If you are in Value hotels just know that the first full week is Pop Warner Football and Cheerleader time. They are LARGE groups of teens that tend to be more concentrated at those hotels.

We've been a few times in early December, and the weather has been all over the place as far as swimming goes! Some years we're in shorts and t-shirts, other years we've worn long pants and jackets.

Sometimes and it depends on what you consider "Cold". We are from Rochester, NY. Cold in December for us is 20 or less. Sixty or more is swimming weather. We did swim on this last trip. The pools are heated but if it is nippy night air have a dry towel and sneakers ready to run back to your room!

We love that time of year and are actually planning a Grand Gathering for about that time this year.
