How crowded are the parks in September?

I'm wondering if with the free dining if the parks are going to be really crowded in September. The fact that I can't make my ADR's the way I want makes me think WDW will be completely packed when I go (Sept 26-Oct 1). Does anyone know how crowded September is? And will the free dining be drawing an enormous amount of people?

Another thing dh and I were discussing.....Is it better to plan days at the theme parks when there's EMH's or avoid those days? Like if we say MK is having EMH so we'll go there that day. Is that what everyone else is thinking and therefore Epcot or the other parks is really the least busy? That extra hour in the morning isn't worth it if MK will be way more crowded all day. So maybe the smartest strategy is to find out what parks have EMH and not go to those???

Free dining will increase the crowds some, but they will still be low.

the food and wine fesitval in addition to the free dining may be the problem...
the F+W festival is September 29 through November 12, 2006 this year- so you will be hitting a few days.

i have read some threads that the beginning and middle of sept is not a problem (as far as last years free dining is concerned anyway)

Early September...right after Labor Day is PHENOMENAL!!!! Not too sure about hitting F&W festival. Good luck!

we always go in september and never have a problem with crowds. This year we are going 9/19-9/26 to enjoy the free dining plan once again this year. You won't have a problem with anything. Go and enjoy yourself!!!!!!! Down to 89 days til takeoff!!!!!!
