Next year my Birthday falls on a Saturday In September and I may just have too book myself and little Birthday trip to Disney!!! :thumbsup2

Do things really calm down after labor day is over??

Anxious to hear about some trip reports next month with all the free dining!

Last year I went the week directly after labour day (5-12 Sept) Things were really really quiet. Pretty much all the rides said ten mins wait but I think that was just the time it takes to walk through the usual line area to get to the attraction! It was that quiet! :goodvibes
I didn't see any change on the Saturdays. Although I didn't go to Magic Kingdom. But I did go to Animal Kingdom and Epcot and both were really quiet.

WISH I COULD SQUEEZE IN A BIRTHDAY TRIP THIS SEPTEMBER , BUT WE ALREADY HAVE SOMETHING PLANNED FOR DECEMBER.... :goodvibes

IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO THINK ABOUT NEXT YEAR!!! RIGHT??? ;)

THANKS FOR THE INFO!

We always go in September, my birthday is that month as well, and we got married in Disney in September. It REALLY slows down right after Labor Day. We talked to one of the servers at Liberty Tree Tavern, and she said it is THE SLOWEST TIME of the year. We enjoy that time of year, the crowds are very light, as the other responding person said, wait times are about 10minutes to maybe 30 minutes at most. The only thing you need to be careful of is the Triathlon. It is every year on the 25th (which happens to be my birthday), and the crowds ESPECIALLY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, are very heavy!!! Hopefully that is not your birthday as well, but I would still go anyway!!!

I love reading about slow crowds since we will be there from
September 4 - 11:-) Sure hoping to have light crowds!!! Oh, and my dh has his birthday on the 25th of September also.

Is this a week long thing or one day? We're going on the 26th this year, so I'm wondering if there's something/place that we should avoid? TIA

So It will be ok.......

I can't think of a better place to spend your Birthday!!! :goodvibes

I'm so excited to hear this!!! We're going down there for our honeymoon this year!!! This is only DH2B's 2nd trip to WDW and the first one was a short trip last November. I want to be able to relax and enjoy ourselves without running around the parks like nazi's (I could easily turn into a touring nazi when WDW is crowded.)

Have a happy b-day!!!

Another Sept 25 B-day here. :wave2:
Does anyone know how the crowds are ON labor day? We get there on the 3rd, and can't decide which park to visit on Monday.
We were thinking AK, but it's an am EMHs, and I don't want it to be too busy with the combo of the holiday and EMH. Do you think MK will be better?
Happy Sept B-days to all.
Jen

Monday will be a lot of people's departure day you will find so by Monday you should be fine. The increase may be with locals who have the day off and unless things have changed I think the park locals are visiting now a days is Epcot?

I would plan on EMH at AK then hop over to another park when it gets crowded.

We went one year after Labor Day. Fairly quiet, incredibly hot (the sun is still strong in Fla in early Sept.) and Night of Joy seemed to attract many trailer-park dwellers who thought nothing of crashing the resort pool at Wilderness Lodge. Made for a somewhat miserable hotel stay.
