We leave in 2 days for our 10 day vacation to Disney, with my entire family (minus one brother).
Our first 7 nights are at Windsor Hills, so Saturday to Saturday. That 2nd Saturday, or May 5th, we had planned to go to Epcot. We have Le Cellier lunch reservations. But we're spending ALL day Monday April 30 there. With Test Track closed, well, we're pretty sure we won't want to spend another entire day in that park. We are also moving from Windsor Hills to All Star Movies on that Saturday.
Based on schedules with the rest of the family (thank you sister and her family for NOT wanting to following my advice who has been several times...at least I got her off of the worst days to visit certain parks), we had said "No" to Universal Studios.
My 13 year old was bummed. He loves Dragon Challenge and Forbidden Journey...and well, any other roller coaster out there. My husband is bummed for the same reasons. My 9 year old just BARELY misses the 54" height requirement. But he's not a huge roller coaster fan (thank you asthma and acid reflux).
The girls? We're hoping they both finally meet the 40" requirement at Disney, so we know, not much for them. BUT!!! We went November 2010, and they had a decent enough time. We went the Monday before Thanksgiving, did 2 parks in one day with Front of the Line pass option for 4 of the 6 tickets.
Yes, we were insane then. It worked out okay.
So....all that rambling aside, I'm thinking of dropping Le Cellier and Epcot for Saturday May 5th, not caring about the "free parking" for staying onsite, and just going to Universal. Am I crazy? Insane? Stupid?
Here's our schedule the rest of the time:
April 28 - arrive/Magic Kingdom
Sun - DHS
Mon- Epcot
Tues - ??? rest day or Princess day for the girls with Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon/or ??? My parents will be with me and INSIST on going to Universal if we go this day, and they seriously would hate it.
Wed - MK
Thurs - AK - DTD - Swim - figure based on previous experience we'll be done by 2pm-ish.
Friday - sleep in...maybe/DHS for Fantasmic with the family. OR DHS to sign up for Jedi with my nephews...back to house...back to DHS for Fantasmic
