 Just wondering how crazy the weekends are?? We decided to go to Orlanda June 10 - 13 and are wondering how crazy the Star War weekends are.

(We have business in Orlando at that time, and being AP holders, why not enjoy the parks a little??? :teeth: )

But really, at MGM, is the ToT and RRC really busy or are the rides easy to get on because everyon is focusing on the Star Wars characters and Millionaire and Star Tours.

Thanks again!

We attended Star Wars weekends last year. Yes, there were crowds around Star Tours as that is where most of the action is. A lot of characters to get pictures with and autographs. The rest of MGM has the same amount of crowds it would normally have. (I don't remember there being a shorter wait for RNR and ToT during that time.) It's really kind of cool (if you have never done it before). Enjoy it! Have fun! Wish we were going to be there, too, but the kids' schedules this year didn't allow that. Spring break was great though!:earsgirl: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :wave2:

We did Star Wars weekend on Friday. Mgm was fairly crowded most of the day. Star Wars events were pretty crowded. TOT and Rocknroller coaster had wait times during the day of about 45 mins. We went back around 6pm and found most of the people were leaving. By 7:30 there were virtually no waits for the Rock n
roller coaster and only 15min wait or less for TOT. No wait for Star Wars ride, we just walked on...don't know how it was for Sat and Sun.

The busiest things for the Star Wars Weekends were: Fastpass lines for autographs by millionaire, but these went fairly quick so the line was gone by 10, RNRC and TOT during times where there were no activities going on (roughly 45-60 min waits), and the 2 star wars millionaire shows. There were a lot of people at these shows who were not Star Wars fans but who went anyways, so they were both 100% full. Star Tours never had more than a 15 minute wait that I saw.

RNRC went down both on Friday and Saturday so the lines at ToT were not that nice during that time period. Come time for Fantasmic, the lines went back to normal walkons.

The lines for the pins and other specialty merchandise were crazy, but those are to be expected.

The waits for the characters were getting pretty long on Saturday too. People were waiting 20-30 min before they came out to get autographs. These lines were cut off rather quickly. If you just wanted to take pictures while the characters were walking around, it was pretty easy since there were always storm troopers around who were willing to pose. Jedi Mickey had a minimal wait early in the AM.

Thanks so much . . . .

I just can't pass up time at the world if I am going to be less than 10 minutes away. I figured it would be busy, but hey, I dealt with the brazilian tour groups in July of 1999 and I survived!!!

We just returned. We were at MGM on Saturday for Star Wars. There were lots of people around the Star Tours ride, but the wait for the ride was only 5 minutes. This was at 3pm on Saturday. We only waited 20 minutes for RNR at 1pm and caught the 1225 Millionaire with a fast pass. This was the last Star Wars version of the day. Very cute!

Crowd levels for this past weekend were pretty low. Not too bad at all.

We were there this Sunday, and the park did seem pretty crowded, but probably not as bad as Saturday.
At one point in mid-afternoon, the wait time at RnR was 60 minutes and ToT was 70 minutes! I don't know if that was a fluke, or if the wait time really was that long 'cause then about 1 hour later they were back down to 30 min waits.
The Star Tours area was pretty crowded though. The waits for taking pics w/ Chewie seemed the longest.
Jake Lloyd is really old now, btw! DBF joked, "Are you sure that's actually him? Maybe they got some random teenager who just kind of looks like him." Heh.
