How cold will it be? Is the boat ok?

Hi, we are getting married at the Yacht Club Gazebo on December 27th!

I am a little worried about the weather. I think it will be nice, but I am worried it will be too cold! I am trying to find something elegant but warm to wear with my gown.

I also booked a catered post-wedding cruise around the lake for our guests, but does anyone think it could be too cold for this?

I know there is no saying, but I am having doubts and thinking maybe I should cancel the cruise. The thought of everyone standing around freezing on the boat in their skimpy dresses! (mine too!)

What time is your wedding and the cruise? You could always remind your guests to bring a wrap. David's Bridal has those that would match your dress nicely. Being out on the water will be a bit cooler than on shore. The weather changes hourly in Florida. At least it seems that way. Make sure to bring a variety of clothes that you could wear.

My cousin had her wedding in Orlando last November, right after Thanksgiving. It was 70 during the day for the ceremony, but went down to 37 degrees at night! FREEZING! She bought these mini fur wraps from furreplicas.com. They were like $40 and looked very elegant... they only covered from the shoulders to the elbow, so your dress will still show. You can get white for you, and then black or brown for your bridesmaids if you want. Hth.

I got married on Dec 4th

It dizzled that day but it was cool, not cold or hot..my dress had sleeves so i was fine

I would look into some fun scarves or gloves...they have the stretchy gloves at dollar tree & you could add a fun patch to them or the scarves you could get in the colors of your wedding...its better to be warm.

you might be fine,,,last year temps were in the 80s but you never know!!

Its good to be prepared!!
GL & we are all here to help!!

We did a Wishes cruise March 22 and it was so cold that night. We were huddled under blankets and no one drank more than one drink. We couldn't wait to get back to the WL to get warm and have some hot drinks.

Disneycrazed139, I've done the cruises when it's been quite chilly. I just made sure that everyone in my party dressed accordingly.

The cruises are so much fun that I'd hate to think you were going to cancel it due to weather. Simply give a heads-up to your guests that they should bring a jacket/sweater/shawl along with them in order to keep warm in case it's cold that evening.

Another thought... What about switching to a Grand 1 cruise over in the MK Resort area? If it's cold, your guests could go below where it's warm. I believe the new boat holds 18 people -- and it definitely can be catered (including your own private butler). Look into it.
