How can I repair a talking plush Wall-E?

I have a talking plush Wall-E that I got when the movie came out and I love him a lot but after we changed the battery in him my Wall-E worked perfectly but now Wall-E's talking button is broken and we have never been able to fix it and so my Wall-E plush is now non-talking. Wall-E had not been dropped or played roughly before he quit talking and so I want to know the simple way to repair my Wall-E plush to talk again?
