LOL, My Hubby just called me with a "surprise". A weekend away to ATHENS!!!!! LOL, I tried to sound thrilled and I suppose I am. I don't want to sound ungrateful but a weekend at Disney would have had me dancing round the room! I'm looking forward to Athens (3rd Feb) very much, we will have an amazing time, I just wish there was a way I could get hubby to Love Disney!!!! :confused3

I became Disney mad the moment I set foot in DLRP - it was a trip I booked for Denise as she has always been a Disney fan. After that holiday in DLRP I became as mad on Disney as she has always been.

LOL, I suppose there's no hope then!! He's been to DLP once and Walt Disney World Florida 4 times!! The magic has yet to "hit" him!! He's just too Macho for his own good!! :rotfl:

Try behavior modification. Your night attire might be a saucy Tinkerbelle or lacivious Princess-- princess:
Worth a try!

Whoa!!! That might make him see Disney in a whole new way!! Interesting idea though!

Otherwise I'm afraid if he isn't Disney mad after visiting WDW four times, I don't hold out much hope that he ever will be.

Thats so sweet!!! what a lovely thing to do.

Maybe you could arange a surprise trip to Disney for you hubby LOL!

I think if you've managed to get him to DLP once and WDW 4 times then you aren't doing too bad ;). I always thought that Disney was more of a girl thing but after becoming involved in boards like this i have been proved wrong. I took DH to WDW last year for the first time, after a few days i was convinced that it was going to be my only trip, he just didn't seem to feel the magic, but he relaxed and started to enjoy it and lo and behold he's desperate to go back, we're also going to DLP in September for 4 nights which didn't take much persuasion.

Maybe he just fancied trying somewhere different. Athens will be lovely and you can arrange the surprise trip next time for DLP.

Hi Suzanne, once he's actually there, he's fine and he enjoys himself. I think he get's embarassed when people say " Disney? Again? " I'm really looking forward to Athens. I love going to new places and I want to see the whole world... eventually! Maybe I will surprise him with a trip to DLP!!

I do think it's harder for men to let themselves act like children. We girls find it much easier, I think, to do silly things and it's more acceptable but not so much for men to let their defences down. My DH and DS fortunately are complete extraverts and are used to having the mickey (no pun intended!!!!) taken out of them and laughing at themselves - maybe that's what you should do Tia, though he might not take kindly to it!!! :rotfl2:

And I thought most women thought that men were always boys and did not grow up :rotfl2:

Well, we know that of course but you men like to think we don't see through you and keep up the macho facade!!! :rotfl2:

Speaking as a man he might be quite happy with the suggestion of saucy Tinkerbelle or lasivious Princess ;)
