My son always likes to have warm chocolate milk first thing in the morning when he gets up. We will be staying at the POR in mid-june. Will it be warm enough at night to leave a bottle of yoohoo on the porch before going to bed for the night to get it warm for morning? If not, do they have a microwave in the food court that can be used? This may seem silly, but he really is grumpy when he doesn't get his chocolate milk!!!

Have a great trip. I believe there is a microwave in the Food Court at PO-R. They also have hot water for tea and such . Maybe you could fill a cup and set the bottle or container in it to warm the milk. Hope this helps

They also have hot chocolate at some of the resorts for refillable mugs. My kids always get that in the AM even in august. I would check the food court and I know that they have chocolate milk in he frige that you can warm up in the microwaves there. Have a good trip.

Temperature at night in mid-June is usually in the mid to high 70's; thus, leaving it outside might be enough.

The hot chocolate will not work. On the few occasions that I have forgotten we were out of milk and had to give him hot chocolate, he has been upset.

;) Your son's warm chocolate milk and my daughter's Spaghettios!!!!
We're taking a "hot pot" on our next trip. Simply plug it in and warm up that Yoo Hoo in a couple of minutes!!

Don't want any grumpies while at WDW!!

Have a wonderful time.

Just a couple of cautionary notes. If you choose to warm the milk in the microwave be very careful of what kind of container you use to warm it. You don't want it melting inside the microwave (not sure about Yoohoo containers) Also if you choose to leave milk outside depending on the temperature (June can be super hot!) you might be setting yourself up for spoiled milk. I would suggest keeping the milk chilled until actual use. Perhaps do what others have suggested and put the container in another container of warm water to get it to the right temperature without scalding it or spoiling it. I don't recall if POR has coffee makers in the room or not but you could perhaps use that to warm it up as well.

Isn't it funny!

It might not seem like a big thing to some people, but when these kids have a routine in the morning it really helps to keep it. I know with my DS the whole day woud get off on the wrong foot if he didn't have his Tropicana pure premium OJ first thing in the morning. He will accept no imitations! We are planning on stopping at the store on the way to WDW to pick up a gallon. I'm hoping AKL has a refridgerator available for us. I read that you can't requestthem ahead of time (or that it doesn't help maybe).

I think the idea of running water through the coffe maker to get it hot, then placing the milk container in the hot water will work very well for you.

Don't leave the milk outside all night, it could develop enough bacteria to make your child ill, or a raccoon might find it.

Suggest putting the milk container in a small tub (the ice bucket?) of hot tap water half an hour before breakfast, after ten minutes gently shake the milk container and stir the water.

That is why I was thinking Yoohoo. It comes in a glass bottle or Aluminum can that can be left at room tempature without the growth of bacteria being a factor.

I completely understand where you are coming from. With my first born, EVERYTHING had to be "just so" ~ she also had warmed up chocolate milk every morning. I do believe all food courts have microwaves. There was one at CBR last year. I like the idea of using the coffee maker hot water to heat the container of milk. That might be too hot and a little cold water to even out the temperature would work just fine. Funny thing, dd (first born) liked her food/drinks a particular way while my second child (ds) can drink milk directly from the fridge, even at 16 months old (nursed him until he was 16 months old, then went straight to a sippy cup of COLD milk). He will eat any food/drink at any temperature! LOL! Funny how two kids in the same family can be sooooo different! Have a wonderful day! PEACE Sandra

anther thought on why not to leave it outside, not to mention the health hazard it posses is
the staff at resorts like to clean up trash and they may assume it is just trash left for them to dispose of!!

YOU can pour the milk into a coffee cup and microwave that too

Leave the can at room temp all night. In the am, put hot water in the sink and "soak" it for a few minutes. The other option would be too bring coca mix that you just have to add water, and make that using hot tap water.
