Silly putty is from HELL.....I refused to let it in my house after my kids ruined some clothes.....If ice doesn't work...I don't think anything else will...good luck though
<font color=navy>My dd's friend came over & they were playing w/sillly putty (she was 13). A couple of days later, I found it spread on the couch - she had fallen asleep and smeared it into the couch in her sleep. Let's just say I was not happy.

Silly Putty! The Wonder Toy of the Twentieth Century! You can stretch it, you can pick up pictures with it and stretch them to make them look funny, you can bounce it!!
Your mom will be glad to know that you can do all these things with New Silly Putty and it WILL NOT STICK OR STAIN!!
Silly putty is hard to get out of anything. Especially hair, if the kid falls asleep with it in their hands or whatever. Yucky stuff from the parental side of life, lol.
DD fell asleep with the Silly Putty inside the egg in her hand while in 1st grade. Of course, the egg cracked open & there was silly putty on her sheets & in her hair.
We used "Goo Gone" & that worked pretty well. However, there is still a stain on her pillow case. We were fortunate we didn't have to cut her hair.
The worst part was explaining why she was late for school that day. You should have seen the looks on the faces of the office staff when we told them.
I had to laugh at this post because my DH came home from work and proceeded to tell me he had a very boring meeting to attend and was playing with silly putty and put it in his pocket!!!!!!!!!!!
It is now all over the pocket and he has asked me if I could find a way to remove it! It has been sitting there for a week because I couldn't imagine what to do but cut the pocket out and sew it back up ! LOL
Silly Putty is the Devil's work. I'm only half kidding- to my knowledge (and from personal experience) there is NO WAY to get it out of fabric. Silly Putty and glitter are banned from this house.
I have no idea how to get it out. Maybe freeze it like you would gum. I have a funny silly putty story though. My DD, who at the time was 4, decided to make a cat collar out of it and put it on the cat. Too funny!! Well, I guess the cat didn't think so.
