How can I get my Dreams travel agent to do anything????

Just thinking that if you are a travel agent with seven clients all booked on the same DCL cruise, how do you book excursions at Midnight for 7 different cabins? Or check everyone in? I can understand doing tasks that are not time sensitive.
No one should be doing your check-in except for you. You have to agree to the contract terms and no one can do that for you.

Honestly just playing devils advocate, but people check in for others in their party all the time. The TA could/would have access to credit card #, passport #. Let’s pretend I am 80 and can’t deal with the tech or staying up until Midnight. What is the problem? (And again, just curious why this would be an issue . . . ) I can authorize someone to act as my “agent” for health and financial issues so certainly also the DCL rules. Does anyone ever read all that anyway?

No, I'm sure nobody reads the contract, but they would still be liable/held to that contract regardless of whether they read it or not. I have no idea, but I can image TAs might not want to take on that 'liability' of that. I do online check in for my family and friends, but as soon as I get the email with the contract I immediately forward it to them. No, it's not quite the same, but at least I'm letting them know what they've 'agreed' to.

The TA themselves do not have access to your credit card. It is inputted into a payment screen and a payment processor deals with that.

I haven't had a problem with my Dreams Agent, sometimes a little slow, but I just use her to book the cruise. I did use Dreams to book our Disneyland Paris trip and everything was great. I tried using CostCo on a Royal Caribbean that we did, and I did not like using them. when I booked another on Royal, they asked if I wanted it through CostCo and I said no, it can just be a direct booking. I am actually surprised that John hasn't responded to this thread.
