How can I get a Skipper Canteen mug?

Visited in December 2015, one week before the Canteen opened. Visited again in June 2016, enjoyed a memorable lunch at the Canteen; great food and drinks, but terrible service from a super creepy CM, so terrible in fact that our meal was comped by the manager and she gave us a free FastPass, but no alas no mugs were in stock. I have seen the new mugs and actually like them a lot more than the original "copper" ones. I have tried WDW Merchandise, both on the phone and via email, but they throw up the "other department" (Food & Beverage vs. Merchandise) road block. I have an email out to WDW directly and am awaiting their response, but I suspect it to be the same response. Odd considering that I just want to give them money for something. This really shouldn't be so hard. eBay is not proving viable, so what other alternatives do I have? Help me DIS'ers, you're my only hope.

The only hope will be to either get together with someone who is going soon and has a skipper canteen reservation who is willing to get the mug for you or go back to Disney World.

They don't often sell the specialty mugs with out being physically present at that restaurant with the exception of the castle chalice at Be Our Guest.

If you REALLY wanted a mug, First-Class airfare from San Diego to Orland sis a small price to pay.

To they sell just the mug without the drink? I thought I saw only one kind of mug? Is there more than one kind? Anyone know how much it is?

OP Why do you say that correctly referencing Food & beverage is a roadblock.

The restaurant opened with a "copper" mule mug, which I have one. They quickly ran out and never got more......

They now have a new mug, which actually looks more like a canteen mug, which makes more sense.

depending on whether you want it filled with soda, juice, or one of the signature drinks.

There are shopping services that will go to the parks, buy your stuff, and ship it to you... for a fee, of course. Maybe try one of them?

Dumb question but if I have an ADR at Skippers and want to order an extra 2 of them without a beverage in them will they sell empty mugs? I'm okay that I may need to pay the same price as though they were full but would like the extra mugs for Christmas gifts...

I don't know but I don't see why not.

It might depend on the server...we asked the server what we could get in them and she said they only come with one of the two Signature non-alcoholic beverages (she didn't mention soda, juice or empty as options).
