How can I find out how many days left on a park hopper? Is there a # I can call and give them the information on the back of the ticket???

Unfortunately, you can only check tickets at WDW to see how many days are left. I believe that any ticket counter at the parks can scan them and tell you. DISers, is there still a Guest Relations counter at Downtown Disney?

As far as I know, the only way to find out is to have the ticket scanned at Guest Relations or at one of the hotels on property. We have a few old ones ourselves that have some days on them.

What about the DISNEY stores???

Not per allearsnet.com :guilty: :

I have some tickets left over from my last trip to WDW and I think they have some park days left on them. How can I check what's left on these before I go so I can figure out how many days I still need to buy tickets for?

The only way that you can find out what is left on old tickets is in person at WDW. Any resort Lobby Concierge or Guest Relations window can scan them and tell you what remains unused on them. The Disney Stores cannot tell you nor can you find out over the telephone.

The tickets themselves have no info on the magnetic strip except the ticket's serial number. All info on how many days the ticket has left, when it was used, and the biometric finger scan info, is all saved on the WDW computer system. Because of this, the only way to check a ticket is through a place that has direct access to that computer system.

Since the Disney Stores don't have such access, you can't check hoppers (or upgrade or modify them, or anything) at the Disney Store.

Disney doesn't have a phone number to check them for 2 reasons: 1) it would cost money, and 2) they want to keep down on the second-hand ticket market. After all, only a fool would buy a ticket he couldn't verify was still good, right?

Even the WDW resorts didn't have the ability to check tickets until sometime in 2005 when they got a computer upgrade, because the resorts use one computer system and the parks use another, and the connections between the two are somewhat basic.

Basically, the only places you can check your tickets are:

1) Guest Relations at the theme parks
2) Ticket sales windows at the theme parks
3) Guest Relations desks at Downtown Disney (there are two)
4) Guest Relations at the WDW resorts (NOT Swan and Dolphin or any of the DTD hotels)

I was fortunate enough to be sent to a conference in Orlando last month and spent a day alone at MGM. I had brought a bunch of tickets with me that I know have days left on them, but wanted to get them checked. I waited in line for 20 minutes. When I got to the window and told the CM what I wanted, she asked me how many were in my party. I told her one and asked why. She said she could only check the number of tickets that were equal to the number in my party!!! She only scanned one for me. I was not happy! :furious:

Nope, you cannot check them at TDS (keep in mind, too, that TDS is no longer owned by Disney...it's owned by Children's Place).

As mentioned, the only places that can check are Guest Relations down in WDW itself...either at a park, DTD, or an on-property resort.

They should have some device where guests can scan their own tickets in the lobby. I am sure there are a ton of us wondering or who forget. I am one of them. I was good with a few passes and wrote down what was left. I have to check two more passes.

Yes, that's another policy designed to prevent ticket brokers from bringing in bunches of partially-used tickets and checking them before resale.

I know it can be a pain, but it also has the effect of shortening lines; imagine how long the lines would be if people could check dozens of old tickets at once!

In the future, keep in mind that you can check old tickets not only at the Guest Relations windows, which often have long lines, but at the regular ticket sales windows as well, which sometimes don't have long lines.
