How can I cancel a pre-order for Photo Pass Photo CD?

From what a fell DISer tells me, I'm overpaying! I bought the promotional code to get the Photo Pass Photo CD for $99.95. Stacielee tells me she only paid $79.95 and didn't pre-order. This is for a photopass share so the lower the price, the better.

Does anyone know how I can cancel the pre-order?

Go to the Photopass website and click on the Contact Us at the bottom and ask them.

I'm so glad you found out ahead of time!

I wish we could "find all posts" for users, b/c I would go back and find all my old photopass posts to get rid of the outdated info floating around. They went and changed the price of the Disneyland Resort only photopass card just after I got back in January. :upsidedow

If I recall correctly, one of the emails you should have received with the preorder should have info on how to cancel.

You had nicely told me about this when I pre-ordered my DLR Photo-pass for $99. Sooo..when I get back...I DON'T enter the code, just go about ordering the thing as if I didn't Pre-Pay, and then after it works, hopefully, for the $79, I cancel the pre-pay one? Is that right???
I mean..20 bucks is 20 bucks...

I am trying to organize a photopass share. Can you guys please tell me more about the $79 cost..instead of the $99? Does it allow you to edit from home and all that? If you can explain it to me like you would a third grader...that would be super helpful. Thanks! :hippie:

the $80 price is Disneyland only and yes, it allows you to add enhancements.

Do I pre-buy it at the park rather than at home ahead of time? In short, how do I get that price? thanks!

I would send them an email through the website, i've heard that they respond quickly.

Just do it the normal way, no pre-buy. When you get home, enter the card numbers and edit as you wish. When you're done, and you add the CD to your cart, it will be $79.95 plus $5 shipping (which I thought was $2.49).

stacielee, they charge shipping? Urgh. Still less than 99, but still.....

Nunzia, the reason I probably said to wait until after your trip was b/c I was unsure if this was a promotional thing or a forever thing. From the way bradk talks about it (and he has that whole big site about photopass, and has been to DLR much more recently than me (last week!)) I figure he knows the inside scoop and that the price is here to stay.

Once you have a card ID number (or two or twenty, LOL) on your account that was used at DLR, you would be able to see the price for DLR. I don't have pictures on my account anymore, but the card ID numbers are still there, and therefore I get DLR pricing when I look around.

I probably won't prepurchase now that it seems this price is solid...I *was* going to prepurchase for our upcoming trip, then get back and cancel if the lower price was still there, but I think that now I am going to trust that the cost will be the lower one.

So Nunzia if you wish to gamble that the price is sticking around (I'm not even sure it's a gamble) you could consider canceling now, and just buying the one from the site when you get back. Or cancel after...it's really up to you.

Where do you find the price? I registered yesterday and I can't find where you can pre-order them. It wouldn't let me do anything because i didn't have photopass ID. I'm confused!

Yes, $5. I think on another thread there had been a discussion about it and the shipping was said to be $2.49.

Once you have pictures in the account, you can see what the prices are. Don't pre-order, it's $99. If you order after your trip, it's $79.95.

Fo Real???

If I wait until after my trip to WDW to order the Photopass CD it will be the $80 instaed of $99.

How does this whole thing work? If I order before our trip do I get a CD prior to my trip or just the card with the number on it? Is it at my resort front desk when I arrive at WDW? Do I leave the vacation with the CD or is it mailed to me? Sorry about my ignorance..I am a newbie!!

The site with the info is pretty vague to me and didn't answer too many questions.

The $79 rate is ONLY available to those who solely go to Disneyland Resort (both DL and DCA). If you go to WDW, the best you can do is a pre-order of $99.

No, the WDW PhotoPass CD is cheaper if you prepurchase for $99. I believe it is $124.99 for the WDW after the visit (or after you enter the PhotoPass ID numbers....). You get the card in the Park and get pictures taken as you go. This has an ID number on it that you enter on the site when you get home. The CD would be mailed to you whether you prepurchase or purchase after your vacation.

HTH.

disney land and dca right?
also if we were to go in to the photo place in Diney land can we get on a comp and edit our pics from there and then buy it there? just a question

Thanks!!

What is this I see mentioned about some pics not being on the photo CD? Stock photos? It that the ones Disney has already taken and avail for us to choose if we wnat on our CD or not? Are any and ALL phots taken by CM's throughout the world included on my CD? If not why wouldn't they be.

I need all the answers I can get before I spend money on something that may not deliver what I think it will. I have searched the CD site and saw where I can upload pic of my own to my CD if I want to and also where I can choose pics Disney has already taken for me to choose if I want at an extra cost to me. That much I get but are those the ones considered stock photos?

If I am paying $100 on something I want it to be all the pics a CM takes of us in any of the parks.

Thanks for your help assisting me to make my decision.

Yes, both parks.

I really don't think they let you do that. Their sign in late May about the buy-in-park CD stated "unedited" or "no edits" or something like that.

And I'm not sure that they have JUST the CD for purchase there. The sign I saw was for the unedited CD (to have in your hands to take home) and 3 5x7 prints for 74.99. I bet you could edit the 3 pictures you were going to have as prints for that deal, but I highly doubt they would let you stand there to edit everything in your account.

No, from what I saw, the DL Cd is the only one that is $79, the WDW is $129, I believe.

hum i wonder if i could edit on a comp if i had it in hotle and then buy the cd hehe hay ill figuer it out ty
