How can anyone be booking for Christmas Day???

You are wrong. I booked Chef Mickey for Christmas Night yesterday. I have a confirmation number as well...

I did as well but could only get 7pm.

I check in on Dec. 13th.

On September 14th I could book my 90 days out +10 which took me to Dec. 23.
To book for Dec. 24th, I had to wait until the next day (Sept. 15) At Dec 14th you get 90+10 which takes you until Dec. 24th. The next day, the same. Dec. 15th gives you 90+10, which took me through Christmas.....

We check in on Dec. 13th as well and I made my Reservations the same days as you, mostly on-line apart from Chef Mickey's and H&V Fantasmic Package.

We are staying Club Level at the Contemporary 24th, 25th and 26th but when I spoke with the IPO they couldn't make our Christmas ADRs until 90 days before the 24th. She did kindly check though seeing as we are on-site from the 13th but could only get 7-45pm for Chef Mickey's.

okay - quick report - no, none has been able to book Christmas Day yet. Back with my nasty rant tomorrow

I'm not sure if this made the difference, I arrive late on the Dec 15th and don't start the meals until the 16th. So I was abe to book 16-25, 10 days. :confused3
 
Disney will allow you to make reservations for up to 10 days after your arrival date so, as long as your vacation is 10 days or less, you can make your dining arrangements for your entire trip. This is typically referred to as the “90 plus 10” rule. Per Mouseplanet

90+10 should take you "up to 10 days in advance", NOT a total of 11 days. If that's the case, the 25th would've been available to any/all booking 90+10, not just a select few such as yourself.

Booking Date: Sep 16th (90+10 takes you until Dec 24rd)
Dining Date's: Dec 15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24

Booking Date: Sep 17th (90+10 takes you until Dec 25rd)
Dining Date's: Dec 16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25

Therefore the accurate date to book 90+10 for Christmas should have been Sep 17th.

Thank you for confirming what I thought, too bad it's not actually working that way. Is this just another inconsistent CM thing? It doesn't even make sense to me because it shouldn't be CM-driven, but system-driven! How irritating for everyone!

You vacation starts on Dec 15th which puts your 90 booking date on Sep 16...90+10 should've booked you through Dec 24th. Although you were able to book Christmas Day yesterday (with pixie dust), now you are unable to book the Dec 26th today...that would be correct.
 

My vacation starts Dec 14. I was able to start making dining ressies on Sept 15. I was able to book through Christmas Eve. That is the first 10 days of my trip. I called back the morning of Sept 16th to make my Christmas Day ressies. No problems and got what I wanted. :)

Your welcome and ITA...it's completely frustrating and inconsistent! Online adr's are calculated for accuracy but phone adr's are subject to human error? I know how my online adr 90+10 worked and it worked just fine therefore, it has to be an inconsistent CM thing shelling out 11 day's worth of adr's. :headache:

Anyway, I thought I could book on Sept 25th (my 90 day mark) .. but now I think that is incorrect. Can someone confirm? I called Disney and the CM say I could start making ADRs on Oct 14th, which I know is definitely not correct! :confused3

This is all very interesting. I thought for sure it was 10, period. Gee whiz. Well, I'm glad that it is all over for me now. I finished everything this morning and was able to get everything that I wanted, including Christmas day. I hope that all of you are able to do the same. :flower3:

You're correct - 9/25 for a 12/24 arrival.

Good thing you didn't listen to the CM - October 14th! :lmao:
 
I check in on 12/15. Made my 12/25 ressies at Akerhus and Teppen Edo on 12/16.

Looks like there is a problem with CM on xmas day. I keep busy a "to busy" online message JUST for CM. Calling WDWDINE, the CM couldn't book dinner either. Maybe they haven't loaded all the 12/25 dates yet because they'll have lunch that day too?? Just a thought. Not that I want a ressie there, just checking for you guys.

Yes, that is how it worked when I made my Thanksgiving reservations as well - and it didn't matter if it was online or by phone.

The point was that people booked Christmas Day yesterday when the thread started - today was not in question.

And I'm still not clear on whether it's 11 days or 10 days total, there are varying reports, quotes and experiences in this thread. But I believe the poster who earlier quoted something from ?allears? had the Disney language and it included the words "up to 10 days".

But that's not what actually has been happening on the phone.
 
But... if they booked today for the 25th then the online reservation is incorrect as I can't book anything past the 15th right now (checking in on the 16th)... I'm going to call DD right now - stand by for an update...

Okay - so this morning at 1:00am I was able to book from the 16th through the 25th (check in date 16th) everything after was blacked out. When I called DD I was told that I would be unable to book from the 26th to the 29th
until my 90 day out, not 90+10 day out. I had a little respectful rant to the CM (she agreed with the stupidity and said I wasn't the first to complain) and I asked her to check with her supervisor to confirm this as I had heard conflicting stories. She came back, very apologetic but confirming it was 90 days out. Anyone else had luck with anything else - I really don't want to get up at 1:00am again if I can't book anything. :sad2:
