How busy late MAY? C'mon, somebody here knows!

Are the summer crowds already building?
Or, is it less crowded until Memorial Day Weekend?

We will be there May 23-29 this coming spring.

Thanks to anyone who might have any idea/experience...

Edited to add: I just noticed another thread which happened to mention how INSANELY busy May 25th was this year... ( actual Memorial Weekend)

I am hoping that after Monday, it will thin out and not be so packed!

We went the week before Memorial Day 2006. It was great - not crowded at all!

May isn't very busy but they do get many school groups that month so it may or may not be busy the day you go. Usually Sunday-Thursday aren't busy. Friday and Satudays can get crowded.

I knew that one of you resident experts would have some idea.

So, if I avoid the actual sat-sun-mon(memorial day) it might not be to crazy those last few days of May? I saw one thread from May 25th of this year, and it described it as just unbelievable and 'crazy'... (I think that may have been Friday of Memorial day weekend)

I SOOOO do not want stifling crowds and 90+ minute queues and $40.00 express passes!!!!

I swear, I am about to move our week up one week.

i have not been to universal during may since 2003.
when i went, it was for 8 days and included mothers day.

no crowds then.
weather was nice, crowds low and not many school groups.

memorial day is always a crowded time due to the 3 day weekend and for the families wanting to get a jump on the schools getting out for summer vacation.

i have also been 3 times in june and did not think the early part was bad at all for crowds.

have been once in later week of june/ 21-30 and the crowds were growing at that time once it hit 11:00
