How busy is Martin Luther King weekend?

We will be arriving on Saturday January 16 and departing 1/22. I am guess our last 3 days will be quiet so even if it is very busy the first few days it won't be too bad. Never been in January before.

Easy WDW rates your days as 7/7/6/3/2/2/3. So middling-high crowds at first and low ones for the second half. We leave the day you arrive, so I've got that calendar pulled up.

We haven't been in a few years for mlk weekend
But in the past it mk and dhs had been busier so we just plan ak and epcot

I was working at Epcot earlier this year and that weekend... I don't have any numbers but that weekend was far more busy than I would have guessed and more crowded than any other in the few weeks around it.

We have a school break that starts that week and have gone every year for at least 7 years. It has gotten busier every year. That said, it will significantly drop off after MLK day. Only the weekend and Monday are truly busy. We just avoid MK and Epcot on those days or only go later in the evening. We still consider those two weeks that we go to be some of the least crowded times to go. The weather can be quite cold though, some days we may need short and tees and others coats and gloves.

We travel often during this time to WDW and its not overly crazy busy, its a bit more on the actual holiday we have found but its not horrible
