How busy is early May?

We are going to Disney for the Minnie Marathon and have decided to go in a few days early to enjoy the parks. Are they busy in early May? We have never been this time of year. Also what is the weather generally like.

We were there the 1st 2 weeks of May 05. It sure beat the heck out of our previous trip which was late July-early August 03 -- in both crowds and temperature.

We're going back May 5-12, 07 because we liked it so much.

They busiest days seemed to be Saturday (for obvious reasons) and Friday during the day. We happened to be at AK that day and noticed several school buses unloading kids. We assumed it was for end of the year field trips or fun days. But we didn't really notice the kids inside the park. And I'm sure they only go for a few hours instead of all day.

Weather-wise, it was actually wet and cool our first couple of days. After that it warmed up, but nowhere near the summer temps.

Give early May a try. You'll be glad you did.

We were there the first few days of May in 05 as well and it was simply beautiful weather wise. We found the crowds not bad at all either! That would be my first choice of when to go (but alas, now we must work around the school calendar.)

When everyone says crowds are "not that bad" in May, is that compared to Summer Crowds? Im curious how May would stack up to September/October. From what I've been reading lately, Fall is becoming a busy time. What do you May'ers out there think?

I have been once in Feb crowds where non existant, but also have been a few times in Oct and somedays crowded some not so bad.

I can't wait to go!!!

We went May 10 - 15 last year. We found crowds to be higher than previous trips in early December and mid November, but still not bad. Temps were higher than average when we were there - about 88 to 90 degrees for the highs. We never needed pants or jackets, so it was easy to pack light!
