How busy is DVC around July 10th?

Hi...I just booked my flights from the UK for July 10th 2009... ...Iam planning on waiting till the 7 month window to book accomadation...Do you experts think I'll be ok to get something then...My preference is BCV or AKLV but if all we can get is OKW or SSR then that is fine too..

I just want to know if this is a REALLY busy time or not as we always go in late Aug normally and have no problem getting what we want.

We want to book a week in either a bed or studio...

Do July 4th crowds hang around to the 10th?

Really have no experience with July so any advice is much welcomed.

You will get something if you call at the 7 month window. Maybe not BCV or AKV, but there will be a week available somewhere on site at the 7 month window. The busy holiday week is the one before.

Believe it or not, the summer months fill more slowly than October - December, so you might even be able to get BCV or AKV. There should be more availability for the 1 bedroom villas than for the studios, but you never know until you call.

We stayed in July this past summer but we arrived on July 19th......the crowds weren't bad at all and expected it to be really more crowded than when we went in Aug. the year before. I bet you will be just fine. We are shooting for BCV too..but not til July third week in July. Good Luck.

We were just there July 8th-16th I booked it in Feb. and was able to get BC but then the kids wanted BWV so I changed it to BW with no problems in March. So I thin k you would be fine at the 7 month mark. Good Luck.

Thanks everyone for the info....it sounds really hopeful

I think I was worried that I wouldn't even get my home resort of SSR if I left it till 7 months...I could book it now but I would have to cancel it the day before I make my new 7 month booking anyway so I would still be taking a risk..i don't have enough points left to keep the SSR whilst I make the new one so I thought i may as well just wait it out and book at 7months.

Fingers crossed we get our first choice...whatever that might be

You can book SSR now...at the 11 month window or where ever you are in the year.....then call at the 7 month window. YOU DON'T CANCEL THE DAY BEFORE YOUR 7TH MONTH....just call on that day and if available they switch it to other resort. You will not lose SSR in the process.
