We are planning a trip to Disneyland for next Christmas. We will be at the DL hotel the 23-26 but also staying off sight for 8 more nights. We are getting 5 day passes and would like to go to Disneyland on Christmas day but we don't want to waste a day if it is going to be packed. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Christine

It will be packed. Christmas Day is one of the few times Disneyland has had to close its gates because it is filled to capacity.

Thanks Bonnie, guess we will make other plans for the day. Maybe we wil plan on doing resort things, character breakfast, explore, maybe go to DT and see a movie. Thanks for your reply,

Christine

We went this year 12-26/12-30 and I don't want to be a bummer or worry you but talk about PACKED!!! We usually go in November to see the decorations but decided to go after Christmas this year due to my husband's job. The 27th it was so pack they closed the gates at noon to one day pass holders and didn't open again until 6pm(we left and went to Knotts!) Sunday it was packed but we got there at opening and hit a few things before it got too bad(so busy that the RiverBelle Terrace rest. had an 1 hour wait) Monday the 28th the USC marching band was there so there were a TON of USC fans etc and it was so busy that day that there was 180 minutes for Splash, 120 for Matterhorn, 120 for HM and 90 for Pirates.

Like I said I'm not trying to be a bummer just giving you a heads up. I knew it was going to be busy and was prepared(we've gone during the summer alot so we figured it would be like that)Just get there early every mornng!!

Thanks for the heads up Dsnylndmom, we are arriving on the 19 so I think we will do our Disney days before Christmas and do the other attractions after, how was Knotts for crowds on the 27th?
We have been to WDW with our kids a couple of times but they have never been to DL. I am hoping the crowds won't bother them too much as it is much cheaper and colser for us to do DL. Thanks again for your reply,

Christine
