How busy is busy?

I understand DL will probably be busy on Pres. Weekend but just how busy? We've only been to DL 2x, once in 2001 over Pres. weekend but I have no memory of how crowded it was and once this past summer on the Saturday before 4th of July. We are thinking of a weekend trip since the kids have a long weekend and we'd like to get away.

From this it looks like thanksgiving to about Christmas are the best times to go. I thought that with the Christmas Decorations up that would be a busy time. Has anyone been at that time?

Yes every year we do a Christmas trip about the first week of Dec or the week just before Thanksgiving but right after they finish putting up the decorations.

This is my favorite time of the year to go to DL!!! Never any crowds and it puts us in the holiday spirit!

President's day weekend should be slightly less crowded than the Saturday before the 4th of July. It gets quite busy but I think it's easier to handle than the 4th crowd because its not so hot. That just might be me though....
