How busy between Christmas and NYE?

So our trip is fast approaching so I'm starting to think about a rough plan for our days (by "starting" I mean obsessing obviously! ) Anyway has anyone visited between Xmas and NYE before? - we are in the parks on the 28,29 and 30th Dec - can anyone tell me realistically how busy it will during these dates?

We went a few years ago from 27th-29th and it was extremely busy. As it was cold it was very hard to find anywhere to sit down to have a hot drink inside. Definitely book your meals.

Honestly I wouldn't plan too much since you can expect the parks to be very crowded.
I would just go with the flow and try to enjoy the days as they come.
As the pp said, I would definitly book dinner at a nice sit down restaurant to be able to relax a bit at night.

The parks were open very late when we were there (til about 10 or 11 I think) so to be honest I would book a table service meal at lunchtime either in the park or at Cafe Mickey as a break from the crowds. It then means when other people are piling into restaurants in the evenings (usually between the parade and fantillusion) you will have eaten so can use that time for hopefully shorter queues. You can then grab something from Caseys or Market House Deli or somewhere similar in the evening - maybe while waiting for fantillusion

Guess it depends on your dining pattern and day shedule.
We tend to have (very) late breakfast and then have something small for lunch in the afternoon when restaurants are empty. But when you want to get out more of your day and have decent lunch indeed it might be better to make reservations for that meal. Restaurants can get VERY crowded between 12 and 2.

Sorry for the delay responding to your posts everyone - mental week! But thanks for all the advice, I think having read your trip report Small World I will just go with the flow to be honest. I have allready booked table service evening meals as we have a one year old so dinner time is part of his evening routine, we are just going to have to be relaxed and realistic about the whole thing I think! That and make the most of EMH seenas as DS will have us up early anyway - thanks again
