How brilliant is this for pin trading?

:offtopic: <-- (And pardon the use of this emoji - I'm certainly not as angry as this little guy. LOL)

Slightly off topic, but can I use this thread to ask this question since pin traders can probably answer this for me? I'm not an avid pin trader, but I do like to collect pins over the years. I usually put them on this little backpack I use in the parks and there have been times when they fall off. So last time I bought the backing that can be "locked" - and yet they still fell off! :( Fortunately I found one of my pins right away but one is gone forever. Does anyone else experience this? Perhaps the material of the backpack is too thick and, therefore, the back just doesn't get a good grip?

Even on a thin lanyard, they will occasionally fall off, unfortunately. We have lost a few pins over the years. It's from being rubbed against. I think a backpack, you might not notice when you are dragging it across the back of a chair or something like that, causing the issue. I am always checking my pin backs on my lanyard, just to be sure.

Back to the topic... that's pretty cool, but with that big of a sash, it could get REALLY heavy when fully loaded. I have made a belt pin holder for my DH, and it works great!

It's cute, but I'd be afraid of it slipping off my shoulder all day long. I hated how my girl scout sashes always did that and had to safety pin them to my shirt to hold them in place.

I was on etsy, and I saw this available for purchase:

I gotta say, I never would have thought of that. I've always used those horrendous lanyards that rub the crap out of my neck. That's sheer brilliance! If I made it though, I would do an UP inspired one with badges etc.

If I had room in a bag to put it away during rides or when it rains or when it gets too hot to wear...

I only take a few pins at a time to a park to trade.....10. They are on a lanyard, but I keep them in my bag and pull them out when needed.

I wouldn't find it comfortable to wear that sash.
I have seen some people wear vests filled with pins.

Omg that's brilliant! I'm not sure of the maker for this day, but I know the ones we had back as A local festival royal court were made of satin like material and weren't hot or sticky.
