How 'bout Ron Jon's

We played there all day Friday. They have a great water park included in the price of a nights stay. We all loved the lazy river and water slide. It is huge! We also had a great time playing in the ocean. Ron Jon's has a golf cart that they take you to the ocean/board walk area in. You could easily walk, but the kids enjoyed the ride. We found turltes under the boardwalk and played with them for a while. The shell finding was fun on the beach too! I would highly recommend a relaxing day at Ron Jon's then just a hop skip and a jump over to the Port! You can even watch your ship come in!

I have a stay planned at Ron Jons for August. Is the whole resort brand new? Have any parts been refurbished? Do they have some kind of security gate so only hotel guests can enter the pool area? We are staying in the building by the pool. How is the beach in the area? Can you use the bathroom in the building near the beach, or is there a bathroom available by the beach? Thanks

tandyc......can you tell me about transportation? We are flying in Friday morning before our 11/20/04 Western sailing. We usually fly in Thurs. and spend a couple days at WDW. We are so use to the ease of DCLs transfers. How do you get from Ron Jons to port. I guess I could take a limo from the airport to Ron Jon. HEELLLLPPPPPP!

It is a completely new resort that opened in Janury 2004.

Yes the resort is brand new and beautiful. We rented a car from Budget, got a great deal. Drove down Friday morning, played all day Friday, Dh dropped Ds and I off at port Sat morn then dropped car off at Budget rental place took thier shuttle to port. It worked great, we were checked it and Dh just had to show his drivers license. This was another great tip I got from these boards!

Hi Everyone,
If you are planning a Ron Jon trip there are some terrific reviews at www.tripadvisor.com. Just search for Ron Jon and they are under the Ron Jon at Cocoa Beach. A couple of negative reviews but most are very positive. We are looking forward to our vacation in December. Hopefully they will have all the kinks worked out by then.

The only negative thing I would say about this beautiful resort is it is meant to be a time share so some of the hotel amenties are not available, such as no hair dryers or shampoo or conditioner. This was huge for me, we went to Winn Pixie and purchased these needed items!
