I don't know who "gym guy" is and why other posters are badgering you about that, but I can tell you that I am a very happily married woman with a growing son, and I can easily daydream about a dalliance with either Manning. She admits she needs to work on herself and is doing so by going to the gym, getting new clothes, makeup, etc. However, the OP frequently obesses over men, celebrities, sports stars, etc. There's no harm in a little crush but IIRC she was very upset when she found out one of her star crushes was married. Not healthy, IMO. She's working on changing herself for the better. She needs to concentrate on herself and make herself well before she even entertains the idea of bringing a man in her life.

But if there was someone I did like who was married (and if I was single), nothing short of a divorce decree could make me consider getting involved with him. I actually do believe in the sanctity of marriage - no way on earth I'd get involved with a married guy. Wouldn't matter if he was the most gorgeous creature ever to roam the earth. Ah, yes, but the likelihood of a celebrity showing up on ones doorstep saying, "I want you!" are, I believe, slim enough that you're into pure fantasy. So, therefore, adding into the fantasy he's single and so am I seems only reasonable.

By this logic, when Johnny Depp shows up and wants me to have his children...

Okay.....no you don't recall correctly. I don't remember ever finding out one of my favorite sports stars were married, and being completely distraught over it. Sure, I may have been like, bummer, but I would not qualify it as "very upset."

Are there celebs that I like or find attractive or think are cool? Sure. Do I sit around and think about them all day, pining away for them? Uh, no. Hardly obsessive.

I don't think the OP was condoning infidelity, just a bit of "what if" fantasy. I look at it like the "5 people you are allowed to cheat with", no one is going to go out and try to find the 5 people, it is purely fantasy.

DH and I can both easily come up with 5. He knows my list and I know his. And at the top of his list, if either Kate Beckinsale or Alicia Keys showed up on our doorstep looking for company, it would be Jen who????

Now is that going to ever happen....Not in this lifetime. But the fantasy of it is there.
