Okay, so I consider myself a pretty moral person, a good girl. I believe in the sanctity of marriage.

But let me tell you, if (the very married) Peyton Manning picked up the phone and called me, and said, "You know, I am having marital issues and could use some company. You wanna come over tonight?" I would not even have to think about it. It would not even be a question. In a flippin heartbeat.

Something about that man's determination, will to win, drive, talent is just......so attractive. #18=GOAT

By the way, this thread is meant to be light-hearted, so please don't blast me with tales of infidelity, etc etc.

Sounds exactly like how Tiger got himself in that mess load o' trouble. Mr. manning would have to produce a signed divorce decree before I'd show up at his doorstep.

I agree with u OP but I think he will call me b4 u and since I will be ready [kids in bed and DH asleep] you will not have to be tempted

I agree. Well, actually I don't entirely. Manning just doesn't do anything for me so even with a decree I wouldn't be showing up on his doorstep. Neither does Tiger, for that matter. But if there was someone I did like who was married (and if I was single), nothing short of a divorce decree could make me consider getting involved with him. I actually do believe in the sanctity of marriage - no way on earth I'd get involved with a married guy. Wouldn't matter if he was the most gorgeous creature ever to roam the earth. Wouldn't matter if he was the most talented athlete that ever lived. Wouldn't matter if he was richer than dirt and his wife "didn't understand him". Wouldn't matter if it was just one night and his wife would never know. Wouldn't happen. No way, no how. And frankly, I wouldn't even be tempted - there are few things I find less attractive than a man who would cheat on his wife.

wait, what about gym guy? wouldn't you worry what he may think?

Lol, gym guy has had his chance. Apparantly Mr Manning in my imagination is much more decisive and interested than gym guy is.

Of course, who knows, maybe a hook up with the greatest QB in football might boost my stock some?

I think you are kidding - but for a girl who has spouted on and on again about your purity ring and how you are saving yourself....what are you doing? seeking attention? acceptance?

no, gym guy has had not chance, you built some kind of relationship or contact in your mind, you have been obsessing over him to the point of questioning what he is doing in a small town, he must have come because of a wife or girlfriend, and you admitted to acting like a snotty witch to him lately......

you need to find YOU and quit obsessing - over any guy - period.....you need to get right in your own mind....

Lol, whoa. So much for that light-hearted thing, huh?

Yes, I was just kidding. Very tongue in cheek. I thought you were being tongue in cheek as well with bringing up GG, which is why I responded jokingly the way I did.

Harsh...

I don't think the OP was condoning infidelity, just a bit of "what if" fantasy. I look at it like the "5 people you are allowed to cheat with", no one is going to go out and try to find the 5 people, it is purely fantasy.

Seriously why does this always happen on the dis, someone posts a light hearted tongue in cheek kind of thread and folks turn it into a full blown mess??
I know people can't really think that the OP was sitting at home hoping and praying for Peyton Manning to call her, come on, can people for once chill out, why must every thread have to be so serious, it's Christmas time people time for some Christmas love around here...hehe!:banana::cheer2::cheer2:

And besides, the greatest QB in history is Drew Brees anyway LOL!:laughing::laughing:

Notice I did not say in history. And, dream on my dear. No, I am kidding. Drew Brees is great. Even though he is a Purdue guy, I like him a lot.

He is not an exceptionally attractive man (neither is Peyton). But, the way he gets all fired up in the pre-game huddle. And the way he morphs into this passionate leader on the field. I gotta say, during the Pats game, I found Brees very, very sexy.

I would not mind at all if the Saints ran the table and the Colts did too, and we met up in the Super Bowl. That would rock!

You mean Alysaa Milano and Reese Witherspoon aren't really going to show up on my door step....hopefully at the same time?!?!?! ;)

Brees is oh so yummy!!
Hubby already knows if he came knocking on our door, I would invite him in for coffee ; ) lol. Hubby would prob be there goggly eyed too and possibly push me out the way.:rotfl:

A-freakin-men!

It is kind of sad watching this unfold. Just be you. Learn to love yourself and STOP obsessing over any man. You need a lot of work on YOU first.

This is supposed to be a very light thread so I will not say what I am thinking....

"Coffee" Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Hehehe. See you have to be blunt and to the point. "Mr. Brees, please come in. I was just kicking my husband out of the house. Yes, the bedroom is right this way."

I agree with you 100%. No way, no how.

I'm with you, OP. I find Peyton and his younger brother Eli very attractive.

I don't know who "gym guy" is and why other posters are badgering you about that, but I can tell you that I am a very happily married woman with a growing son, and I can easily daydream about a dalliance with either Manning. (Not the two of them at the same time, mind you--that's a little too kinky for my tastes.)

I just love the whole Manning family and think they are a fine representation of a good American family. I really, really hope no dirt ever comes out on them because it would break my heart. I never had a crush on Tiger Woods--he's not my type--but all his recent problems are troubling to me because I really did think he was squeaky clean.

No kidding...this place gets more ridiculous by the day....and I've been here a long time. There is absolutely no topic that one can joke around about that will not offend about half of the current members here.

Are you people serious? The day I stop ooogling men or coming up with silly fantasies, just strap me to a raft and float me out to sea, I am done.

Of course, I'm not following each bit of drama going on around here, so I'm sure there is a deeper issue I'm not aware of.
