How bad will this be (12/29-30)

So we're going to be going to Disneyland/DCA on December 29 and 30. A Saturday and Sunday.

It's a family trip of me, my wife, 2 y/o DS, my parents and my 19 y/o brother. Due to a wedding and other Christmas plans that weekend is the only day we can go. Any guesses on just how bad the crowds will be? We're honestly okay not getting on too many rides - we just really enjoy the atmosphere plus my wife is pregnant so it's not like she can do Indiana Jones.

It'll be pretty crowded. As in very. December 31st is the busiest day of the day. Christmas Day is slow in the AM and gets very busy by noon. It's packed by evening. It then builds every day until the 31st.

If rides aren't important and you have a lot of patience, you can enjoy the atmosphere. Just know it'll be crazy busy.

Touring Plans has both days rated a 9.9 out of 10.... so plan on it being packed, but if you go in with a plan you will be great.

Sometimes it helps just to have the knowledge that it will be crowded to keep your mindset in the right spot. It sounds like you guys are cool with just soaking it all in... you may encounter a few rude people, the crowds seem to bring them out, but if your cool and can just ignore them (not always easy to do) you will have a great time.

Get there before rope drop, have a touring plan, take advantage of all the fastpasses you can and you will have a great time!
