How Bad Will the Pool Rehab Noise Be

We are honeymooning starting September 8th at AKL Jambo House in a Standard Studio room. One of the reasons we chose the resort was because it was touted as being quiet.

I saw today that the Uzima Pool will be going through rehab during that time ( I think it starts on the 4th ). How bad will the noise level be?

We're hoping for a room off the other side of the resort and we're not concerned about view - mostly just worried about noise. We're not early risers and didn't plan on being especially on our honeymoon.

Ask for a studio on Kudu trail (the hallway where the standard view studios are located on the other side of the resort.) Be sure that it’s noted on your reservation before you arrive that you are celebrating your honeymoon.

The noise will not be awful. They are not ripping out the pool. Rehab isn't long enough for that.

They just did the pool rehab at our resort this year. It entailed taking outthe caulking around the pools edge and then filling it in again. No noise what so ever and they were doen in two days. This may not be what is happening at your pool so I would call to check.

Jambo will be closed for 4 months. But that is not enough to really tear up a lot.

Any chance you can switch to Kidani or another resort? Yes, there are some standard studios on Kudu trails, but the majority of standard studios overlook the Uzima pool so your chances of avoiding that area aren't great.

Thanks everyone, I feel a bit better. I tried to move to Kidani but nothing open for all our dates yet. I'll keep trying but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be that bad. J]
