I know July 4th will be CRAZY! But what about the following week?
We already have a beach vacation planned for July 10-17 in Pensacola Beach!
But I got a pin code :banana:for free dining and am really tempted to go to WDW the week before!! (Also have to convince my DH ;) )
I know it will be HOT!
But I am worried the crowds will be crazier than the heat!!
Thanks for you advice!

I've gone in mid to late June and early July before. Our last trip was July 4 - 11 (although we weren't in a park on the 4th). I didn't notice any difference in crowds between the middle of June and the middle of July. So, it's summer, so it will be "crowded", but not that much more than other points in the summer.

As long as you have a touring plan, you should be fine. I think in 3 trips we waited in line more than 20 minutes maybe 2 or 3 times. And never waited more than 35 minutes.

We went last year arriving on the 4th, for 8 days. We saw the fireworks at Epcot, on the 4th. I did not think the crowds were any different than our June vacations.

The trip back to the hotel on the 4th was BAD! I would go again for the 4th of July.

We will be In Orlando from June 27 to July 11 - we are planning on only going to the parks on weekdays and avoiding it on July 4 - your posts have made me feel so much bettter about the crowds I was a little worried.
