How bad is the wait at Tomorrowland Speedway?

If you were to rope drop Tomorrowland Speedway, how long is the wait? Touringplans is showing it with a 25 minute wait at RD and that seems bananas. Can that be right?

I'd be shocked if the wait at any point in the 1st hour is longer than 10 to 15 minutes. And the only reason it will be that long is because I don't believe they start with every lane running.

Just an FYI, our family (as well as other friends who have done this) have had no trouble getting a FP for Tomorrowland Speedway in the afternoon and evening. And typically, there have been FP's available almost immediately when checking at the kiosk. We had a party of 5 and when I went to the kiosk to get our 4th FP at about 1:00 on an afternoon in June (crowd level 8-9), there was *a lot* of availability. I didn't schedule it at that point but did get a FP later that evening for immediate use.

Just thought I'd mention that in case you'll be spending the day at MK and would rather do something different at rope drop. If you have your FP's scheduled at a different park that day, my information won't be much help. :D

Ohh! Good to know! We have several days in MK. I'm thinking this ride will be a big hit with our 2 and 4 year old boys, so I want to be 100% sure they get to ride it at least once (without at 30 minute wait). I hate to use one of the 3 initial FP for it (which is why I was thinking rope drop; I can't imagine it's a popular RD ride), but maybe they can get a second ride another day if we can get a 4th FP for it. Thanks for the tip!

Depending on time of year, I've rarely seen it with a super long line much before 11 (or noon). BUT, it's on of my least favorite lines in all of WDW. It's HOT (though they seem to have added umbrellas to cut down on the beating sun) so I try to ride it early or late, but stay clear of the middle of the day.

We walked by TS a week ago Saturday at about 9:15 AM after riding Space Mountain and Buzz. The line did not look long, but the posted wait time was 20 minutes, and it looked like they were only using one of the four lanes. So, even though there may not be a lot of people there, the wait might still be 10-15 minutes or more just because it is slow loading and not operating at close to full capacity. They also may be taking their time getting more cars out on the track, slowing down loading even further.
