How bad is the construction at CBR?

Is the whole resort still a mess or are parts of it in better shape? My daughter is staying there the second week in December and I wanted to try and prepare her. They are rarely in the room and I think I'm more concerned than she is about it.

The whole resort is not a mess. However, they're still using the food tent, food trucks, pop up pool bar and island markets. There's still no way to walk to The Custom House, they're still building the DVC Tower, the new food court and waterfront TS restaurant. The other 80% of the resort is untouched and still beautiful.

CBR is our favorite moderate and second favorite out of all WDW resorts and I wouldn't want to stay there until everything is completed. But we are not park commandos, we usually have 2-3 resort only days per trip.

We thought the road construction in front of the resort was worse than the construction at the resort
The areas at the resort under construction are all away from guests so they didn't bother us at all. Our room was near the remote concierge room. After we checked in there was no reason to go to Custom House again so lack of a walking path was no issue. I would have no problems staying there again. But we don't eat at the resort so the lack of food options was off no concern. We swam most days and we could hear construction but it never interfered with our enjoying the pool

A mess. That said. If you are not eating there and mostly in the parks just enjoy the price break and ove along

We didn't find it to affect our stay at all. The road construction around all of Disney was crazy. We could see quite a bit going on while on the buses and could hear it a little at the main pool, but the pool area is so loud, it really just blended in. The only thing we found annoying was the food at the resort. We were only there for one meal- lunch on a pool afternoon. The food was cold, and really tasted awful. If she's not planning on eating there, I think she'll be just fine. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, with or without construction.

Doses anyone know how bad the construction noise is at CBR compared to CSR? IF someone has never stayed at CBR do you think they would still have a great time?

One big difference is at CSR they are working on the guest rooms and buildings at CSR, remodeling/refurbing the rooms. So work is being done directly in guest areas. And they are building the area for the Gondola system. I'm not clear on the state of the food court here. I had read Pepper Market was due to get some work but not sure what it was or when.
At CBR they are not working on any rooms or buildings where guests are. No remodeling or refurbing of rooms going on. All the work is away from guest areas. But the work is more extensive as they are constructing more buildings than they are at CSR. Plus the Gondola system. The food court is housed in temporary location. If you eat at the resort a lot this is a concern. If you don't, it is not likely to be an issue (we are the type to rarely eat at the resort so it was of no concern to us)
Personally, I find work on guest rooms to be a bit more intrusive than work adjacent to guest areas. If that makes sense.
