I have a longer vacation already booked to wdw in December but I need a disney fix before that..lol. Is it worth it going for only 4 nights? And how bad would it be from June 20-June 24? I figure we could get 3 whole days in the park. I wouldn't do park hoppers, gotta keep the cost down. I would do 2 days in mk and 1 in epcot. It would be me and my 3 kids. We would have to add in the cost of the train too since we live in PA. What do you all think? Am I crazy, or do you think it's worth it?

Definately NOT crazy! If you can afford it, Go for it! I don't know what the crowds will be like, but I just booked June 15-25. I am hoping it will not be too bad either. I booked the Disney Visa deal where kids Stay, Play, and Eat Free. I am also from PA and playing the waiting game on airfare for our return trip. Have Fun! :)

If you are going to go in June and then take a longer trip in December, you should really look into annual passes.

Four nights is a great WDW getaway! My DS9 and I stayed at Pop for 4 nights in March and it was great. We arrived early the 1st day so we had 4 full days at the parks, but actually 3 park days would have been fine! (A sleeping in/shopping/swimming day is always nice too!) Go for it! We went in June a few years ago and it was very hot and yes, crowded, but still awesome! Have fun!!! :goodvibes

We've done some 4 night trips and some 7 or 8 night trips. I've found that we make much better use of our time on the short trips. On the weeklong trips we inevitably start off thinking we've got plenty of time and then we run out of time and don't get around to everything we'd planned. So, yeah, the shorter trips can definitely be worth it.

Not crazy crowded, but...... H O T!!!!!

I was there last year at that time & the temps were 98-100 without heat indexes.

Since you already have transportation costs and are planning a shorter trip this time, have you considered Disneyland? I have thought about it for a short summer trip, but WDW is an easy day's drive from here, and DL just isn't.
As for temps, my favorite weather web site list these average highs:
DL June 79F, July 83F
WDW June 90F, July 92F.
Of course, a lot depends on the airfare vs. the train.

We usually go in June or July since I am a teacher. I will say it is hot! But we always have a good time. I REALLY recommend getting Tour Guide Mike for your trip. If you follow his plan you will have very little waits PLUS have time to go back to the room for a pool break, etc. It has made a HUGE difference in our trips. We used to be commandos from morning til night. Now we do mornings, lunch, afternoon at the pool, dinner, then back for fireworks. And we still do the same amount of rides - maybe more? :confused3 And I thought I was a good tour planner before!!

PS, if you sign up for TGM for your December trip, you will still have the access to the information for your June trip.

Hi--new to this board and saw you mentioned "Tour Guide Mike". Can you please tell me about this? We went to Disney back in 2004 and finally going back in June. We need all the helpful hints we can get.

THANKS!

Tour Guide Mike is actually the sponsor on the theme parks board:goodvibes. If you go there and click on the link, you'll get a code for $3 off. Tourguidemike.com is a subscription service which basically teaches you Mike's system for touring. He has these amazing best days charts which are worth the price by themselves! I think a subscription for your trip is around $20, which really isn't much compared to how much you're already spending on the trip.

We're also going in June. If you join, be sure to join the June Vacation club:cool1: Everyone is great about helping you plan your daily itineraries. Between Dis and TGM, I am so addicted to the planning!!!

I was there last year from the 14th - 20th of June & never again! For me it was just too hot, lines were long & I was tired by 3 & that was after entering the park at 10. Late Sept, Oct, Nov (before Thanksgiving) & early Dec I found it to be a way better time to go. I also went 1 time in July about 15 yrs ago & that was worse.
Good luck & no matter what time you go you can still feel the magic :)

We were there the third week of June last year and didn't think it was too hot. Were there the year before during the same week and thought that was hot and rainy but we didn't care, and it didn't bother or hinder our plans in any way... we are going the third week of June this year as well...go and enjoy...it's Disney:thumbsup2

It probably won't be as busy as Universal since Harry Potter opens on the 18th.;)
