We are planning a trip for this Feb 14-20. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect in terms of crowds for this week? Also, what is the weather typically like during this time period? This is the first time we have gone this time of year. I have no idea what to expect! Thanks for any help you can offer!:D

It can be pretty crowded. Especially the weekend and early on in the week. It tends to quiet down toward the end of the week. The weather can be WARM (70s and even some 80s) and it can be chilly. Breezy, overcast (60s). We've had very different weather over the past few years. Usually not too much rain tho.

Thanks so much! Compared to the weather in IL, even 60 degrees sounds great!:)

The weather is nice during Presdient's week. Shouldn't have much rain then. But it does get crowded. What you should realize, is that in addition to President's week it is also speed week in Daytona. Quite a few NASCAR fans will make the trip down to Orlando to spend some time at the World and then drive up to Daytona for race events. The last time i went for President's week I found it very hard to get a rental car. So if you plan on renting a vehicle do it Now.

We found it crowded, very crowded. Also that is generally mid winter break for schools in the metro ny/nj area. We were at the Poly and were told it was over 100% booked. We did not even get our longhouse request. I would suggest if you are staying on site to take advantage of early entry. If you want to dine at any place special make a ps as early as you can. We even heard 2 cm's comment to themselves at the studios that it was really crowded. Also lots of people bring lots of germs with them. Our one ds had a virus and the people we were meeting had their dd sick with an ear infection. Be prepared. Bring layers. We had heat, cool and rain. My absolute must that we didnt have - a HOODED sweatshirt if you plan to do any night swimming. Even though disney pools are heated it was much too cool walking back to the room. Glad I also brought some antibiotics from home etc.

Thanks so much luvmarypoppins! We will be there Feb 14 through 20 and will be staying on site. We'll be sure to take advantage of early entry. I'm just waiting for that 90 day mark so I can make all of our PS arrangements. We will be traveling with our DS (5), DD (3), & DD (1)- so I will be sure to remember to bring along some medicine just in case. Thanks for the reminder! Good tip about the hooded sweatshirts- I would have never thought of that! I'm sure my DH and DS will brave the water! Sounds like we should expect quite a crowd. Since we have been there several times already, at least we won't feel pressured to see and do it all! We'll just be more than happy to be there!
