We will probably be in California from april 7-21. How bad do I have to expect it to be???

I was there a few years ago on the Saturday before Easter. It was probably the most crowded I have ever seen it (and I have been on a summer weekend and Christmas Day also).

I really don't even mind the crowds, but it was unbearable.

Not sure how the rest of the week would be, but I assume busier than normal. :)

I was in DL the week prior to Easter. Wed and Thurs were busy, but manageable. Good Friday and Saturday were very busy with long waits for all rides. I would NOT go back again on a Good Friday , Sat, or Easter Sunday.

The best way to prepare yourself is to take your family and stand in a small closet, then try to move around. That is what it is like in the park on these days. I'm serious.

As an aside,I still can't figure out why local annual pass holders would even set foot in the park during this time. Needless to say, there were tons of people with AP's in the park on Good Friday and Saturday. What were they thinking?

oooh your really in for it...you might get lucky if you go the first few days of your visit but dont count on it

How about wenesday, thursday, friday after easter? I´m starting to get nervous here...

I'm sorry to say I had a similiar experience. I just couldn't believe how many people could fit into that park. Also, it was very, very hot, which make it even more unpleasant for me. It may be even worse for you, since Disneyland will still be celebrating its anniversery; a lot of people have been going over there for the anniversary.

If you have any choice at all, I would recommend Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Those are defintely the best days to go and you may even find that the crowds aren't all that bad on those days. The regulars won't be there as much and people there for three-day-weekends also will be gone by then. Those of us who have been there and done it can help guide you in ways to make even crowded days go better. For example, on very crowded days, go early and do as much stuff as you can then. Take advantage of the early admission day, especially if you have small kids, and do fantasyland on that morning! Plan on seeing shows in the late afteroon when the crowds get huge. And of course, you can make use of the fast pass system which really can be quite nice! It's too bad you can go in March; that would be a very slow time! But there are ways to make the most of a crowded day at Disneyland.

I guess I won´t have to worry about the heat at this time, will I? When you say Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, do you mean before or after Easter?

I think either before of after, as long as it is midweek, but you may want to wait and see what some of the others think. My understanding is that spring breaks vary a lot so the crowds tend to be pretty heavy throughout the month. I'm not sure when easter is? Regardless of when you go, though, you will find Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to be the worst, by far! If you go mid-week, you'll get more fun packed in. Another tip; when the crowds at Disneyland get really bad, California Adventure is sometimes far less crowded. I don't know why becuase it is also a very fun park. But if you're at Disneyland and can't move, try going to CA!

We are going for the two weeks of the English school holidays and will be in Anaheim from 1st (late afternoon) to 7th (leaving for San Diego that morning). I had planned to go to Disney on Sunday 2nd and then two other days (we have 3 day park hopper passes) but it sounds as if we would do better to wait and have all three days mid week. A further complication is that I use a wheelchair so if it is too crowded it is virtually impossible to move.
