How bad is AKV standard view?

Specifically, how likely would it be that I would get a view of the parking lot? :scared1: Are the standard views better in Jambo or Kidani? Right now I have a pool view regular room ressie, but I'd like to try renting points. I'm hoping to get savanna view, but should I go for it anyway if that isn't available? BTW, the price difference is about 150 less for AKV standard than AKL pool view (for 2 nights) and I've never stayed at AKL. I'd appreciate your input!

We had a standard view at Kidani in Feb. We looked out towards the front area (where the cars pull up) and the pool was off to the right side. We were on a higher floor as well (which escapes me right now).

There were several big windows for viewing animals out by the elevator so we could get our fix there.

If you book your DVC room "standard view" at Jambo House, your view WILL be of the pool. If you book your DVC room "standard view" at Kidani Village, then your view could be of the pool, the parking lot, or garden view.

That was pretty much our view as well...I think we were on the 4th floor. I actually liked the view. And those inside viewing spots were tremendous...loved stopping by and just looking out for a bit.

This is our room from down by the driveway...we were in the villa with the blue balcony, just before the corner turn, palm tree in front of it..so maybe it was the third floor...just can't remember.

We had a savannah view and it was lovely. Very quiet and peaceful. We all really enjoyed watching the animals -- although after about 4 days, it was the same thing, same animals, same activity, so I found that we spent less time out on the balcony.

From what I could see, the standard views weren't horrible. The entire resort area is relatively quiet (except for the bus stops), so unless you overlook the pool and there are some rowdy people there, I doubt you would have trouble with it. If you don't want to be far out from the Lobby, I'd stick with the pool view.

We just got back from a standard view studio. We were on the 5th floor directly above the pool. So we had a perfect view of the pool if you leaned over a bit we could see the savannah as well. The view was amazing!

Thanks for everyone's thoughts so far! :flower3:

We were just down from this (closer to the pool) I actually liked it. It was very quiet.

I had a lovely view of the bus stop... really enjoyed watching the "human" animals running to catch their bus as it pulled away :lmao:

Seriously, you just don't know what you will get... SOMEONE has to get the parking lot view and it might be you... if you don't mind taking your chances and saving on points, it's worth it.

I decided that next time I will spend the extra points so I can watch different animals from my balcony :thumbsup2
