Hi there. On our past trips, I've always wanted to go on Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. The problem is I am deathly afraid of that butterflies in your tummy feeling you get on certain drops. I've watched countless YouTube videos on the rides, but they didn't really help. Can you tell me how bad the drops are compared to, say, the small one on Splash Mountain that happens in the dark? That scared me more than the final big drop. I feel silly asking this question, but I'd like to know what to expect. Thank you!

Sorry! Posted in the wrong place!!

The drop in the dark on Splash Mountain, IMO, is worse than the "big drop" on Space Mountain.

The "big drop" is at 1:53 mark in the video

Indiana Jones does not have any drops, so you have nothing to be worried about there. The only part of that ride that could remotely be considered a drop is at the end when you encounter the rolling ball and then going under it.
And that part of the ride is taken at such a slow speed, you hardly notice you're going down hill.

As for the butterflys in your stomach feeling, well everyone is different. I rarely get that feeling anymore when I go on theme park rides (been on over 100 roller coasters). And when a ride gives me that sensation, personally, I like it! None of the rides at Disneyland or DCA give me that feeling.

I agree no drops on Indiana Jones, and I haven't been on Space Mountain for a while, but I remember liking it because it is in the Dark i can see when drops and things are going to happen, so you don't know when to get nervous :-)

I think I remember a little "butterfly" moment on Indy right before you go over the bridge- it's not so much a drop, but more that the car lifts up a little from the back- but nothing too bad

Indiana Jones is a little rocky, but no drops. Splash mountain is probably the biggest drop in Disneyland. For a real treat, visit California's Adventure's Screamin'. Best way to conquer those butterflies is to go around for a 2nd time. I use to clinch on for my life on Pirates of the Caribbean. Hahaha.

They probably remodeled it, but there are a few drops, not as big as the ones in Splash Mountain. Everyone gets butterflies on roller coasters so try it once.
