How bad are the crowds today?

i just got routed from Mickey and friends to some parking structure at the convention center which has never happened to me before. Are the crowds insane inside the parks? I'm local so I may just eat lunch at downtown Disney and go home. I was expecting crowded but not crazy.

Sometimes they do that when traffic going into M&F is in danger of backing up to the freeway exit.

It wasn't too bad in the morning, but by noon it was pretty packed. My son and I were there and left at 1 when most of the rides had waits exceeding 30 minutes (30 minutes is the longest he can wait for various reasons).

It's actually very busy in both parks. It was expected more yesterday and while definitely busy not like today. We arrived yesterday about 11am to our hotel in harbor and traffic was nuts then.

Most FP have been gone a few hours and it's been quite busy at DCA where we are. The harbor security was about 3/4 back to the bus stops but toy story let out towards DCA so it was much shorter.

Btw NEVER PARK AT THE CONVENTION CENTER. Toy story is infinitely better imo.

It's bad. We went this morning, rode Indy using Single Rider, waited 45 min for a lunch table at Carnation Cafe, and left after lunch. Way too many people. I'll wait until next week to go back.

I lucked out today honestly. Did WOC dessert party with some amazing people I met in line . Exited DCA , entered DL from left and got to the front of one of the rope holds on Main Street at 9:10pm for fireworks. Now have a curbside seat for PTN just in front of tomorrowland.

My hubby was feeling a little off so headed back early but being solo has its advantages. I never imagined I'd be able to hit all the night entertainment in both parks in one night. I like holiday magic but glad I didn't wait very long, the snow was nice though.

Could the crowds have been a result of ToT closing tonight? Hoping it is better tomorrow....

No, ToT's last day was Monday (yesterday).

I think the fact that the Rose Parade and Game was held on Monday had a lot of folks attending those events coming to Disneyland today. (The Rose Parade/Game is never held on a Sunday). So that shifted the crowds.

The rest of the week is expected to be very busy, and not just at Disneyland, but also Universal, Knott's, Six Flags Magic Mountain, LEGOLAND and SeaWorld, since so many schools won't be going back into session until Monday the 9th.

Dang! I hope it subsides by Friday. I'm planning on going.

I doubt it (other than maybe some will stay away today since it's supposed to rain most of the day). As mentioned above- many schools are still out this week etc.

We were there yesterday and the parks were very busy. Many key attraction FPs were gone by early-mid afternoon. Took us three tries to get on the Matterhorn due to breakdowns.
We still managed to have a great time though!

We'll be back in the parks tomorrow!
