I'm thinking about surprising my daughter with our first trip ever to Universal next Dec. 20-24. I know Disney is crazy that time of the year--Is Universal?? My only other option is June. Which month would be better???
Thanks for all your help!!!:jumping3:

june crowds are not bad until about the 20th.
when i have gone in June, i am out of there by the 17th.

december can be ok prior to christmas.
the closer you get to the 25th, the larger the crowds.

stay onsite for the ep usage and early entry.
it does help when the parks are crowded.

We were at Universal over two weekends this past month. We went the 14th and 15th and the 21st.

The crowds weren't too bad at all except at certain attractions as usual. We did notice an uptic in crowds the last Saturday but it was all very manageable.

Universal is fun at Christmastime. We enjoyed the Macy's parade, Mannheim Steamroller and the Blues Brothers Christmas show. We missed Grinchmas but heard that it is good too.

Thanks for the information! I think I have to research some more before we decide. I was planning on stay on site - I thought that would be better

Keep in mind that the newest ( and cheapest ) onsite resort will not have the resort guest express passes but will have early entry

I don't think the crowds are that bad in Dec or June, but we do stay onsite.

We generally visit during both those months. We do Disney before Christmas and Universal after and find that we can maneuver pretty well. Have fun!

I didn't know this--Thanks!! I wondered why it was a lot cheaper

I was at universal dec 21 to 23. Stayed onsite. I have a trip report in the trip report forum which addresses crowds.

We will be there also the week of the 20-27th of December. One day for Universal and pondering IOA. My boys will be 13 & 16 so any advise would be great
