How are your "small talk" skills?

I love to talk on message boards but making the connection with people who are looking at me face to face is very hard. So I took a class in Small Talk. The class was really fun but it told me that making small talk is really hard for many people. The dozen or so people in the class told me that they struggle also and when we practiced- I found out that small talking is so hard for everyone.

How about you, do you have a difficult time when you are forced to make conversation with strangers or people that you work with? Why is it so hard to make that conversational link with other people?

However, I'll still answer the question. I can make small talk. I can make medium talk. I can make big talk. Hmmm, I guess I like to talk. I can listen, too. That also comes in small, medium, and large versions.
