How are they doing TSMM at rope drop right now?

We will be GCH guests, so we will be in the park, riding Soarin' and Little Mermaid before the park officially opens. We want to do TSMM right at 10 am. Where should we go after Little Mermaid? Can we go over to the Paradise Pier Lighthouse and wait at the Bridge? Is there an official 'rope drop line' that we have to go back to outside the GCH park entrance? What's the setup right now?

Thanks for any info you can give!

We used the resort entrance last Wednesday. After riding Little Mermaid we went and waited by the lighthouse. All guests were held there until official park opening. Unfortunately, when we got to TSMM it wasn't working. We took a chance and waited around for about 5 minutes and they opened.

Sounds like you know what your are doing!

We were there last Thursday (06/30). I was really hoping that the Little Mermaid would take some of the load off of TSMM, but this is not the case. More Crazy than every! The rope is just where you expected it would be – Paradise Pier Lighthouse. The crowd is HUGE!

If you are running behind schedule, simply grab a FP for Soaring and save LM for later. LM was only a 15 minute wait after we rode TSMM and Goffey's sky school (caught a soft opening).

Best advice: Be sure to be at RD for TSMM

Thanks! I was hoping that there was no 'line' for TSMM. I was afraid I'd miss it and the CMs would make me wait until the 'line' had gotten in the queue. I think we'll enter the park at 9 am, do Soarin' and LM and then head to rope drop.

Thanks for the info!

Same thing for us on the Saturday before last. And same thing with TSMM - it was not ready at park opening. :sad1:

When I went the wait by the light tower was split. TSMM had to line up on the right along Paradise Pier. All other pier attractions in a mass on the left. Down the middle was left open for people going to AG. First to leave the area a CM (Louise) walked the TSMM group to the attraction. A couple CMs regulated some youths who thought they could run up to be first, they were sent back a little. It was all very organized, more so than I had seen in the past and read in reports. I was about 20th in line to ride TSMM.

Thanks skiingfast! I'll be sure to line up in the right place!

SkiingFast – when were you there? I was there on 6/30 and there was no separate line for TSMM. Once, a few months ago there was a line – but that was the only time I have seen one before or since. I wonder what makes them do a line sometimes and not others???

Blah, they were a total disorganzed mess when I went a couple weeks ago. There was a big mob waiting at PP and they were letting people through on the right side. The only way you could know this is if you were at the front of the mob and they told you so.
So after working our way to the front of the mob we find the back of the line letting people go to TS. It meandered to the back of the mob on one side of the planters, them back up to the front. It then crossed over to between the planters and the railing and meandered to the back side of the mob before coming back up to the front for the last time before being let in.
Ofcourse on the last segment of the loop where we are forced to the backside of the mob, they stop letting people through. We have to wait there for ten minutes for the official rope drop and now we are behind every freakin one! I was so angry, we were in line for about an hour before we got on the ride. We actually missed the FP time for Soarin because of it, but they still let us in.
Being in the GCH you shouldn't have this problem though and be able to get up front pretty early. Just make sure you look for that line on the very right if there is a big crowd.
