Hi everyone. So I just got done making my reservations for my August honeymoon trip. We tried to pick restaurants that would be conveniant based upon where we would be that night. Does anyone have any advice? Are there any restaurants listed here that we should rethink? Any that are a must-do? The following are our dinner choices for restaurants:
- Le Cellier
- Wolfgang Puck Cafe
- Yak and Yeti
- Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano
- Coral Reef Restaurant
- Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
- Kona Cafe
- Grand Floridian Cafe
- 'Ohana
- Tony's Town Square
Thanks!

Of these we have tried:

LeCellier - excellent meal and service
Wolfgang Puck Cafe - YUM! Great choice.
Spirit of Aloha - we enjoyed it once (second time, not as fun, guess we'd been there, done that). Food was pretty good, show was so-so, but we really enjoyed the dancing and fire twirling at the very end. Looks like you may be staying at the Poly? The Hoop Dee Doo is much better, IMO, and it's easy to get there from Poly - bus to FW from TTC or boat from MK.
Kona Cafe - only done breakfast and lunch, but thoroughly enjoyed both. Wish the atmosphere was more intimate. In fact, an intimate restaurant is one of 2 things the Poly lacks. (The other is a hottub, in case you were curious.)
'Ohana - we love the food here and have lucked out with great views of the castle each time. Keep in mind it is a loud family restaurant with kids running around, literally. They have coconut broom races and a limbo contest and sometimes a ukelele player with a microphone.

I had a pretty yucky meal at Mama Melrose's a very long time ago, but that doesn't count, and I can't comment on the rest from personal experience.

We have dined at all and had great meals at all except for Tony's .Maybe we caught them on a bad night.Have a magical time:wizard: :wizard: Danny

We love three of your choices. We love Le Cellier, Kona Cafe and Grand Floridan Cafe. We have also done the Spirit of Aloha dinner show several times and always enjoyed it. We also love the Hoop De Doo show.

I have had good experiences at all the places you mentioned except for Tony's and Yak & Yeti - haven't tried those yet. I have heard negative comments about Tony's and we really aren't excited about the menu.

Many say Le Cellier is overrated but I still like it. Grand Floridian Cafe is a nice overlooked place.

Lots of good eatin' there!

- Le Cellier - Words cannot describe how great this restaurant is. Be sure to talk to your server... they are the friendliest, nicest people on property. If you can talk hockey... even better.

- Wolfgang Puck Cafe - Order the calamari and then the salmon. And then order everything else. Totally wonderful place. :cloud9:

- Yak and Yeti - haven't been yet

- Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano - I really want to try this place and haven't been able to yet

- Coral Reef Restaurant - I thought it was overpriced both times I've eaten there. The food is not bad, but the service was slow and the food is super-expensive (at least anything I wanted to eat was). I do love that huge fish tank though. A+ for atmosphere.

- Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show - I haven't done this since I was five. I loved the show and hated the food. But... I was five! :rotfl2:

- Kona Cafe - Haven't been

- Grand Floridian Cafe - Haven't been

- 'Ohana - Cannot judge fairly. My daughter was totally crabby for this meal and we had just received word that our DS1 (who was home with grandma) was in the hospital with dehydration from the rotavirus. So I'm not a good judge. I had a really good mixed drink though! :rolleyes1

- Tony's Town Square - Not the best food, but soooooooooo convenient at the end of the evening. I liked it, my hubbie hated it. :confused3

Have a great time! Sounds fabulous!

I've eaten at several of these but since other posters have chimed in about them, I'll just skip to Yak n Yeti since most have not tried it yet.

We ate there in January and loved it so much we are going for lunch again in May. It's the only repeat we are doing from our January trip.

And congrats on the honeymoon. DH and I are celebrating 25 years when we go in May and I can't think of a better place to honeymoon. I hope you have a marvelous vacation there.

- Le Cellier (One of the favorite meals of my life.)
- Kona Cafe (Delicious! Especially the macadamia nut tarte.)
- 'Ohana (VERY good)
- Tony's Town Square (I really want to try this.)
