How are the self-tanning products?

I've been using Jergen's moisturizer/self-tanner. It seems to work, but there are a few problems. It doesn't smell real good (not as bad as some). Because of the odor, I've used it at night. I thought that I'd let my legs dry enough before getting into bed, but my sheets turned light brown - it had rubbed off onto the sheets! (I soaked them in Quickn'Brite & they came clean). My legs were a little blotchy until I used a grainy pre-tanner cleaner on them - that seemed to help. Then when I shaved my legs, some more of the color came off!

So, what self-tanner have you tried? Do you like it? (I bought one tube from Target - it seemed to work, so I bought the 2-pak from Costco, so now I have a lot of it.)

I really like LOREAL' sublime, very few streaks.

I've tried that Jergens one too (over the winter) and it smelled so bad. My clothes, sheets, body all smelled. I haven't tried the Dove one but my friend has and says it's good and doesn't smell.

I refused to try the Jergens becuase I could smell people in school that had used it... it smells like fake tanner.

I searched and searched and have finally happily settled with a graudal tanner from Bath and body Works. Everything smells fantastic and it does a nice job. I highly reccomend it! I have had people tell me how good I smell using it!

With any gradual lotion, apply another lotion to your knees, backs of your ankles, tops of your hands, elbows, and cuticles before applying the tanner. It will help keep those areas are are prone to being dry from absorbing way too much and giving you the "fake tanner in the cracks" look.
