How are the pull out beds at AKV

Just purchased Riviera yesterday!! Woohoo (after much contemplation for a very long time)!! However, our Welcome Home trip isn't until December. We were already scheduled to attend a conference at CSR in July. While I do like the Gran Destino Tower, I really hate to pay cash for 2 rooms when we have DVC points now. Since this would be a last minute trip our DVC options are limited. It is myself (mom), my husband, our 2 kids, and my mom going. I booked a one bedroom at AKV thinking the 2 bathrooms would be helpful but now I am wondering about the pull out sofa. Myself and husband would be sleeping on it and we would let my mom and probably at least one kid sleep in the bedroom. We are not tiny people but not the biggest either. Wondering if we should move to SSR with the murphy beds or just switch to a 2 bedroom at SSR. Thoughts about 2 adults on pull out sofas and murphy beds??

I would do:

Mom and Dad - King bed
Two kids - Pull-out sofa
Grandma - Pull-out chair

I would not put two grown people on the pull-out not-quite-queen.

very thin mattress on the pull out we used. unless its a child I wouldnt use it.

I stayed at a deluxe studio at AKL in early May. My sister and I slept on the pull out bed and we had enough room, though both of us are smaller people (under 5'5"). I wouldn't say the mattress is that comfortable. It's very thin to where you can feel the bars underneath. Both of us had slightly sore backs afterwards. I definitely wouldn't recommend two adults larger than us to sleep on it.

Agree with this.

I've done the pullout chair and it's quite comfortable since I'm short. The pullout sofa would be OK I think for your kiddos who are small... but no adult that you love should ever sleep on it!

Get a cheap mattress topper. If you are driving, bring your own. If you are renting a car, stop and pick one up (Target/Walmart should suffice). If neither, try to order one for delivery to the resort.
